Pours a reddish/pink color. 1 finger white head. Head retention is very pour. It dissipates almost immediately. No lacing on the glass.
The nose is nice and wild and funky. Tart, and slightly sour smelling blackberry aroma. Somewhat floral smelling.
Taste - A nice blackberry flavor. Not too tart, or sour. The blackberry is quite strong, and tasty. It has a flavor that indicates to me that it's more of a wild ale, that has some wild yeast mixed into this beer.
The tartness, while not overpowering, does linger in my throat. It just coats my esophagus all the way down. The body is decent for the style.
Tasty and delicious. Wild ales are a favorite of mine, and this is a solid one.

Poured into a tulip.
The pour yielded more of a pink color with a quickly dissipating small fizzy head. Left no lace.
The aroma shouldered a wonderful tart to sweet blackberry character with some acidic sour features rolling into subtle lemon and grassy hop notes.
The flavor leaned fully into the sour harshness through blackberry tones. Acidic aftertaste with blackberry seeds and flesh, semi-sour and tart.
The mouthfeel was between light and medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Sturdy carbonation and some acidity punching my tongue but mostly nicely. Finishes with crisp blackberry sweet to tart character.
Overall, I'm a huge fan of blackberries so my bias may show here. However, it's a very well done fruited sour ale.

16 oz. can.
Batch 1, 2019.
Moderate to vigorous pour yields a nearly one inch light pink head over a pink body with scant lacing. Nose of blackberries, hay, lemon, and very slight funk. Taste of blackberries, unripened blackberries, and lemon; with a very tart finish. Nice feel and overall, a nice job from Niles, Illinois, but very pricey. Cheers!!!
