12oz can, undated, poured into a Black Three Floyds Rastal Pint Glass.
The beer pours a soft, light amber, straw color, hues of gold and copper with a hazy complexion. Atop the beer rests a soft, billowy, white head, about 2 fingers high that has nice retention and leaves a nice network of soapy lace behind. The aroma is pleasant, soft bitter hops, piney with light grapefruit, a fair amount of noble character, earthy and green before a large amount of bready malt comes across, sticky but crusty. The flavors are nice, plenty of bitter hops, earthy and piney with the same noble character that the nose suggested. Lots of bready malts and caramel sweetness finish up the flavors, but the beer certainly remains bitter and not overly sweet at all, very fine balance. The mouthfeel is nice, it coats well, has nice carbonation, not too lively, very creamy at times, nice lively feel and the finish is soft but a lightly dry sensation lingers well.
Verdict: A very nice English style IPA from Temperance. The flavors are balanced well, a nice hop character is showcased and the malts aren't too sweet. It's a bit heavier in terms of flavor profile than many of the hop forward American IPAs so it doesn't seem to be as refreshing, but still a very enjoyable beer.

Served in a footed tulip glass (Temperance), quick review from notes.
Hazy and saturated orange body, slim cap of parchment tone foam. Lots of lacing and a lasting head that eventually breaks apart after the first few sips. Tiny trails of carbonation build and release around the edges.
Aroma is reserved, slightly yeasty with some light fruity apricot and citrus peel impressions.
Taste is pleasantly malty without overbearing hop character, though the fruity hop notes appear again as a nice accent. The body is medium and has a nice creamy texture to it. Overall it was a good English IPA, would drink again.
