berliners and other kettle soured or sour mashed ales have become like the new ipa, seemingly the standard which all breweries are being judged, and it apparently has become mandatory to be well versed in these styles. everyone is doing it now, and so few of them are any good, its awesome to encounter a beer like this, a true example of the style, better than most of them, but without anything to make it intentionally different except for the quality. i like that, and i like this brewery a lot. here is a clean, moderately sour, lemony, straw colored brew, brightly acidic, citric, summery, fun and easy drinking beer that has plenty of body for the style and is carbonated effervescently. its everything it should be and nothing it shouldnt. more body than many which really works to smooth out some of the acid, and i dont find it to have a negative impact on refreshment or drinkability. somehow still extremely delicate even with the rounder texture, brilliant livliness too. soft citrus and bright tang here. one of the better takes on this style i have seen in an increasingly crowded field. they should can this one if they dont already...

Nice and tart with good amount of tartness and a great mouthfeel. Detracting aftertaste that's a bit dusty. 81.5/100.

Hazy straw yellow. White head with lace.
Lemon acidity. Light vinegar. Tart and sour. Has a bit of a funk to it.
Light bodied and easy drinking. Very enjoyable.
