Take great care of their customers...idiot below from Virginia probably missed out on a bottle and decided to post a bad review...too bad buddy...if you're going to the Delaware beaches make sure you check this place out.

One of the most obnoxious bottles shops I've ever visited. This place is the by product of shops that put too much emphasis on reviews and input on websites like BA and Ratebeer and less on service and consumer respect. As you walk in the dude taunts you with whales he may have or actually has and won't sell to you. Then he attempts to muscle you into purchasing Allagash shelf turds (which I sadly fell for). All the while, continually bragging about his 100% score on B.A. and begs for you on go on B.A. and Ratebeer and rate him at 100%. His shelves are stocked with beers you can pick up at the local grocery store or gas station. Do yourself a favor and avoid this joint if you find yourself in the area and go to one of the liquor stores on the main highway. Better stock and much less pretension and ego.

What a gem! Walked in to just browse and had the fortune to have Tom help me out. So knowledgeable and such a warm personality. Fantastic selection and some great stuff I can't find in ATL. Just spent the first of many $ here as I'll be back everyday this weekend looking to smuggle a lot of goodies home

Huge selection for a small store. Tom was friendly and let me try a delicious aged Allagash. He helped pick out some beers that I hadn't tried yet. Recommend stopping in.

R & L is hands-down one of the best craft beer stores I've had the pleasure of frequenting. While distribution in Delaware is somewhat limited, Tom more than compensates for this by making sure that the selection is up-to-date, interesting, and that his customers are well-informed.

If you find yourself in DE looking for the usual Dogfish Head, you'll be pleased by the prices and selection; however, if you're looking for more uncommon offerings from both Europe and all over the East Coast, you're likely to be pleasantly surprised.

Moreover, the customer service is unparalleled. The owner loves talking beer, and is more than happy to share his thoughts on the store's rarer fare. R & L is a beer-lover's store put together by a beer-lover.

Great selection of craft beers. Tom was fun, knowledgeable and taught this craft beer guy a few new beer app tricks.

Ok, last time I had such a great experience was in Keene, NH - placed was called Brewtopia - check it out!

Tom is a fantastic host. His knowledge of beer is exceptional. Plus, he is a force! Witty, knowledgable fella.
I really enjoyed his shop and left with two boxes of beer.
This place is a gem and everyone going to the coast should stop by there. Skip big outlet-liquor-shops and go there. You won't be disappointed!

This is a gem of a beer store(they sell liquor also) right by the beach. The space isn't massive but the selection is second to none. When I was there they had over a dozen Mikkeller hard to find ales and more hard to find ale than I ever expected. Of course they have a ton of local and regional stuff as well. The staff is very up to date on the beer scene and if you have some time they will tell you all about everything. The best part is they have great pricing on everything I saw. From single bottles to 4 packs, six packs and even 12 packs the prices were right in line with what I expect. If you are in the area or just passing through I highly recommend stopping by and checking out the selection.
If you are lucky enough to run into Tom he will tell you more about beer than you ever imagined.

Great spot. Super friendly and helpful staff. Great selection, much more interesting choices than a lot of the outlet stores. Been going to Rehoboth for many years and stopped in downtown Lewes during my last trip for the first time to check out R&L. I'll be returning many more times.

This place is awesome for anyone who Is a beer lover. If you are in town to visit Dogfish Head, this place is a must visit. Tom is crazy and hilarious, to say that he is enthusiastic about beer is an understatement. Meeting him is an experience in and of itself. The selection of beer here is really incredible. They have singles and 6 packs that you won't find anywhere else. They also have a lot of cool Dogfish merchandise for sale. Do yourself a favor and check it out for yourself, you won't be disappointed!

As a regular visitor to Lewes, I have been to R&L many times over the years. Tom is a knowledgable and highly enthusiastic presence. I usually focus on the comprehensive array of Dogfish Head craft ales, but the overall selection is quite outstanding. When I was last there, I mentioned what I thought was a fairly obscure Swiss brewery; moments later, Tom pulled two varieties off the shelf! If you are in the area and want to find a beer that's a bit different, this place is worth a visit.

Wonderful beer store tucked away in Lewes, DE. The store is one of the smallest around, but boasts one of the best beer selections in the state of Delaware.

I've been to Lewes many times but never to R&L so this time was it- no more Route 1 beer outlets with average selections.

R&L is a small store in beautiful downtown Lewes (Sam Calagione lives around here). What they lack in physical space they more than make up for with quality brews. This is the place for those obscure, rare brews we nerdy BA'ers like.

Struise Black Damnation, Mikkeller (lots), Prairie, barrel-aged stuff like 1776 ale... plus lots of Stone and Dogfish bombers and a bunch of six-packs (refrigerated) that you can also shop for by the single bottle.

Prices are a little high but worth if you want some rare beers. I too, got cornered by "Tom" the quirky beer guy and ended up buying more beer than I thought I would. He is nice and funny, but if you like to just browse and be left alone, then this might not be the place for you.

I liked it here because it felt like going to somebody's beer cave and chatting and having fun while looking around.

A note on the store's reviews here on BA: a lot of them strike me as fake.

Went in yesterday after hearing wonderful things about this place from both BA and the people at Dogfish Inn. Outstanding service, prices, selection, and above all else, the help there was phenomenal. Such a great place filled with so many gems!

After buying a few things, I mistakenly ventured off to one of the larger distributors on the way to Dogfish Eatery, I was met with a rude staff and a poor selection. I'll be taking my money and spending the rest of my time back at R and L. No matter what your style is, they have something for you and are intensely eager to help. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

No one in the area knows beer like Tom at R&L. Excellent selection of great local finds and rare beers that you'll be hard pressed to find anywhere else in DE.

Today was a snowy day here in DE and I had plenty of time on my hands, and I'm glad I spent it at R&L. Ended up with quite a few personal favorites that I never thought I would find on shelves anywhere. After moving to DE from NYC, I'm glad I have a new 'home' beer shop. If you're passing through coastal DE, definitely drop in and chat up Tom and grab a few beers from R&L

On a whim my wife and I stopped by this shop and we had the pleasure of meeting Tom. He was beyond helpful, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic about beer. He listened to our tastes and suggested a ton of amazing beers. The prices and selection are fantastic and we will definitely be back.

Holey moley this place is a diamond in the rough. I went in hoping there would be one or two good things and instead tried to fit what I could in my budget since I could only find 1 or 2 not so great things! Tom was a fantastic "tour guide" and was more than knowledgeable about what they had, especially things I wasn't familiar with or hadn't seen before. I will be going back several many times.

Truly one of the best (if not the best) stores I've ever been to. With bigger stores it's often a hunt for the good beer in a pile of bad ones. With R&L the only problem is having to decide on which dozen you like best out of the hundreds available. Bring a love of beer and some trades!

What a great little spot in downtown Lewes. They have an amazing selection of bottles packed in a medium size shop. I've never been in a bottle shop where the staff is so willing to help you find what you're looking for. I was there yesterday and got a walk-through tour of what was new in the shop. Just very passionate and knowledge staff. Not to mention one of the best array of bottles in DE. A must if you're in town. Quick walk from the DFH Inn.

Amazing place! I went in for a quick minute to find some sour beers, and not only did I leave with some incredibly rare sours, I also left with a great experience to remember. Tom is one hell of a beer salesmen. He's not only extremely fun to talk to, but also has an amazing amount of knowledge of beer. He's also friends with local, Sam Calagione! The place is amazing, and Tom is amazing, do yourself a favor when your in Lewes or even Rehobeth and make the trip to R&L and enjoy yourself!

The second I walked in I was greeted by Tom "the nuisance". I showed up for dogfish head beer and left with a $70 variety of different beers. Tom greeted me at the door with much enthusiasm about craft beer and had a thing or two to show me about useful apps on my cell phone that I could use to learn about different brews. This place has a very wide variety of beers and a very knowledgeable and friendly staff of people that want nothing more than to open your mind to different brands. I have never experienced anything like this at any other liquor store and will definitely stop by every time that I drive past to take the ferry home.

I stopped in here this past October and was thoroughly impressed. They had a great selection of seasonal beers plus several rarities that are hard to come by. Plus they had almost the entire Dogfish Head lineup available.
