Like pumpkin pie in a bottle...we add 136 pounds of real pumpkin to the three-barley mash and then season the finished beer with cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves.

My wife and I were at Wal-mart in the produce section and they had a display of Octoberfest beers and this one was on there. I had tried Schlafly Oktoberfest, Sam Adams as well, but I had never seen a beer that was downright Pumpkin, not Octoberfest. Being partial to O'Fallon beers having tried many of their others (They have an excellent 5-Day IPA) I ran over to look at it. Lucky for them my excitement overrode the fact that a 6-pack came in around $9 (not the most expensive but a pretty pricey seasonal).
- Appearance (4/5)
Nothing unique about the color. Sort of off-brown, not what I had expected. More of a pumpkin pie made with brown sugar kind of color than a pumpkin color.
- Smell (4/5)
This was the opposite of what I would say of most beers. Typically a beer, especially hoppy ones, smell wonderful then taste bitter. O'Fallon's Pumpkin was more the opposite. The smell was murky and had a subtle undertone of pumpkin and spices. But...
- Taste (4.75/5)
The taste is so strongly pumpkin you would think you had just carved one open, scooped out some the the innards and started going to town. Then the spices follow suit and round off the flavor into a very enjoyable experience.
- Mouthfeel (5/5)
Like I said, the taste was as though you were eating the raw pumpkin insides. I don't know if it was the flavor or the texture that tricked my brain, but the beer was mushy in just the right way. It was the most realistic feeling beer, that is to say, it says Pumpkin on the bottle, this feels like I just drank, chewed, and swallowed what you get out of the can of Libby's pumpkin pie base (the fibrous strands tossed in a liquefier).
- Overall (4.5/5)
The look is lacking, but the taste is amazing. A must have for this time of year.

Released August 2022; drank 10/6/22 @ the Yarchives.
Semi-opaque dull orange appearance.
A rough pour yielded a nice off-white head; almost no lace.
Mild notes of pumpkin pie and apple cider in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Mild pumpkin pie and apple cider flavors; pretty bland overall.
Not one I'll return to.

16 oz can.
Appearance. Clear amber with a good near white head.
Aroma. Pie slices with an unwanted hint of vinegar.
Flavor. A bit over spiced but better than the aroma suggests. Cooked pumpkin and vanilla join with the spices. Evokes resemblance to an overspending pumpkin pie, which may be the target.

About medium carbonation with a close to medium body.
Aroma is. Canned pumpkin, brown sugar, spice, malt.
Taste is mildly sweet, spice, canned pumpkin, malt and cream with vanilla. Does tastes a bit like pumpkin pie in a can
Overall its a very decent pumpkin beer that is above average and would look for again.

The pour is orange. The taste is some pumpkin & mild spices. It's a decent pumpkin ale but I 've had better. Cheers! B-

Nearly clear copper with a light tan head, the pumpkin and cinnamon are front and center on the nose.
The taste is accentuated by the addition of the clove to the cinnamon and the pumpkin. The description says this is pumpkin pie in a bottle, and that’s accurate. A really nice fall beer.
