DATE: June 3, 2017... OCCASION: picture-perfect end-of-spring kind of day... deserves something light that promises refreshment... GLASSWARE: Blanche de Chambly flute... crackles and fizzes as it enters the glass, a hazy, sediment-laden light brass body whose activity inspires the hope of fresh strawberries and wheat... head vaporizes on impact to a thin ring of white pearls... soft strawberry is apparent, as is the malty butter/cracker that gives this an "ale" kind of expectation.... earthiness, like a vine or soil, is inferred as well... vibrant on the lips, thin and oily through the mouth, and slippery upon its exit--an expedient to the day, and lightly refreshing, but does not really announce itself as a beer, wheat or otherwise, save for a residual maltiness at its end.... the flavor profile is thin as its aroma--strawberry, apple and pear, hay, cracker, some malty adjunct insinuations, and tartness that piques the interest for another sip... maybe it's not hot enough yet, but this is reasonable at best, with a proper setting needed for peak enjoyment...

A crisp, light beer, with a slight sweet strawberry, wheat flavor, right in the middle.
Taste Rating in Words: It's similar to a slightly worn-down piece of strawberry chewing gum.

In honor of summer, and picking up a new drum kit, I will review this fruity beer.
L : Pours honey colored with a finger of sudsy head that lasts a short while; lots and lots of unfiltered sediment floating around, which I like. 100% hazy.
S : Smells like one of those strawberry candies that look like a strawberry. You know the ones. Strawberry jam, strawberry preserves. Does what it aims to.
T : A bit washed out but oh so refreshing. Lots of delicious wheat, cracker crumbles, and a fresh bite of pink strawberry at the end. A nice bitter leafy flavor comes out in the end. Very nice.
F : Just total crush. So easy to drink, so thirst quenching, so delicious. Nice light coating on the palate after the swallow.
O : I know this isn't particularly flavorful or groundbreaking, but this is more refreshing than jumping through a sprinkler on a hot summers' day. I am going to pick this up in sixers for the rest of the summer.

I can definitely smell the strawberry in this. Fell is almost like that of a soda. Drank straight out of a bottle so I can't comment on the look. I would recommend this beer to someone who wants to try something interesting.

12 oz. bottle, no bottled on date present. A new one to me from O'Fallon Brewery, acquired a single bottle as part of a mixed six pack at the local Binny's.
Poured into a Duvel tulip glass.
A - Pours a typical pale golden body - pale ale like in appearance, with a finger of foamy white head that leaves decent strands of lacing. Standard appearance, but it looks nice.
S - Dominant fruity strawberry fruit roll-up aroma - not a terribly authentic berry aroma. No notes of caramel malt, hops, or yeast to be drawn from this. Not foul or offensive, but not a truly authentic aroma.
T - A weak and watery flavor profile - sugary artificial strawberry fruit roll-up flavor tinged water. Again, no notes of wheat, yeast, or hops.
M - Feel is thin and watery. Light-bodied with moderate carb. Easy-drinking stuff, but that's about all it has going for it.
Overall, not foul or offensive, but not unique, authentic tasting, or interesting. A tame offering from O'Fallon, would go over nicely with the BMC crowd.

I like their Wheach so when I seen they had a strawberry beer I quickly put down the $1.79 for the single.
A - Fairly bright yellow very mild haze with a 1/2 inch of head the fizzes out rather quickly.
S - Sugary Strawberry syrups with little tart edge. Honey kick with very mild hops. Slight skunky vegital smell in the glass.
T - Semi sweet beer flavor with the tiniest hints of strawberry syrup and a slight husky bitterness like under ripe strawberries. Not that good.
M - Light and crisp fairly easy to put back.
As a beer its not terrible but as a fruit beer it is lacking genuine berry taste.

Pours a clear, gold color. 5/4 inch head of a white color. Good retention and slight lacing. Smells of strawberries, but not fresh strawberries, pale malt, and slight sweet malt. Does not really fit the style of an American Pale Wheat Ale, but instead is a Fruit / Vegetable Beer. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of pale malt, slight sweet malt, and strawberry syrup or some sort of syrup, but not fresh or actually tasting of strawberries. Overall, good appearance, but poor blend, not complex, and poor strawberry flavoring.

Sampling right now on 7/14/15. Comes in a 12 ounce bottle. Bottle chilled down to 36 degrees F in my beer cooler and poured in to a 'CHEERS-BOSTON" handled-glass stein.
Brew pours a slight hazy golden-yellow in color with a good 2-finger head that finally settled down to a thin layering on top but mostly around the sides. Some sheets of lacing is seen when sipped that sides back down the edges of the glass. Aroma is of grains with a hint of strawberries. Pretty much is said for the taste. Pretty easy to drink but has a slightly dry 'soapy' finish with a touch of bitterness but doesn't last long. Crisp and tart also but needs more strawberries. Not as sweet as you would think at all. Lighter to medium-bodied with good carbonation. Overall it is a decent summer brew for the hot days of summer.
