Got this as an extra from tpd975, gracias amigo!
12 oz. bottle poured into a nonic. No freshness date anywhere, not cool when it comes to IPA's yo.
Pours a hazy burnt orange hue with a good two finger off-white head that slowly falls to a thin creamy head that lasts throughout. Nice sticky chunks hold on to the sides of the glass. Smell is a blend of earthy and citrus hops. Toasted grains and a pale malt aroma in the nose as well. Brown sugar and grapefruit comes to mind. Taste is much more malt dominated, unfortunately. Some pine and gooey caramel midway with a quick splash of mandarine orange. Aftertaste is mostly biscuits and grains, low hops, and some bready flavors. Medium body with a creamy texture and mild carbonation, pretty good feel in the mouth. This just isn't a very appealing IPA, the hops are too mild and the malt has too much presence. I wonder what Kanye would think about this beer....
