From the label: O'Fallon Chocolate by the Barrel Cream Stout 22oz bottles. Stout brewed with cocoa powder and aged in bourbon barrels. "Bourbon Barrel Stout is what we got when we aged our Cocoa Cream Stout** in bourbon barrels. It has a creamy, sweat roasted chocolate and coffee flavor enhanced by sublte bourbon flavor that adds to it complexity."
Poured from 22oz bomber with a cream-colored wax-dipped head into nonic.
A - Pours black with a darker tan-colored head. A semi-aggressive pour gives about two fingers worth of head which dies down to a thin tan-colored layer left behind as well as a small among of lacing that klings to the glass when tilted.
S - Sweet milk chocolate hits me right off the bat. The chocolate is mixed in with some oak/wood and a subtle hint of bourbon, but not an overwhelming bourbon kick at all. This smells like a chocolate bomb...luckily, I'm in the mood for desert.
T - Chocolate milk with a nice oak finish is what sticks out to me here. Very little, if any at all, bourbon notes. No hot alcoholl burn or anything going down, very smooth. A nice bitter dark chocolate finish that's rich and creamy.
M - Maybe a tad too light on body, light carbonation (perfect for this style) and not overly fizzy on the palate like some similar styles tend to be, just rich and smooth. Has a great feel to it.
D - Super drinkable if you're in the mood for this style. I wish it had some more bourbon kick to it, but that's really all I have to complain about on this one. Recommended, if you can locate it.

A- Black in color with a bourbon color head.
S- Once it warmed up the smoke and bourbon came out in the nose along with cocoa powder, milk chocolate and coffee roast.
T- Chocolatey and creamy with a hint of vanilla and whiskey.
M- Mouthfeel could have been a little fuller for a bourbon aged stout but wasn't thin.
D- The body and creamy chocolate notes made it quite drinkable. Recommended.
