Holy Moly, the 6% and under handcuffs have been removed, and O'Fallon responds in a big way, to understate it! This black beauty, on tap at Itap, came out opaque in the tulip with a lite tan head, suppressed no doubt by the 9.5% alcohol.

I told my buddies this was a black Bigfoot. Just loaded with hoppy citrus in both the aroma and quaff. Excellent brew, dry finish with plenty of malt, roasty and toasty mixed with the dark fruit - finishing with raspy wood notes and lingering hop burps. No anise in this one, but not missed.

Medium bodied and quite the sipper, I really enjoyed this brew (but I am a hop luving drinker), and look forward to my next glass. Hopefully this will be bottled, I would like to see how a year in the cellar ages it.

Poured black in color without much viscosity to mention with a creamy, light brown head.

The nose has a suprising amount of citrusy hops and a vague, burnt coffeeish and bitter chocolate note.

Tastes more roasty than it smells, but in more of a burnt cookie kind of way. It's just a touch watery and a little lighter bodied than it should be. Lacks complexity overall.
