Notes/Commercial Description:
This smooth amber ale uses toasted hemp seed to create a nutty flavor in the finish that compliments the rye and hops (a botanical cousin to hemp). The wide assortment of flavors harmonize, creating a uniquely smooth and flavorful beer!

Poured reddish brown and slightly cloudy with a two finger head that lasted a bit, then dissipated to a thin layer but left a fair amount of lacing.

Definitely a hoppy smell with some grains and malts to complement, plus a little bit of citrus and a bit of spiciness to make for a nice, although not real strong smell.

I was in the mood for something a little hoppier than usual, and this one was a nice selection that I'm quite pleased with. The hops flavors come thru strong but not overbearingly so. There's some malts and grains to be noted, and a touch of spiciness that complements and balances the brew nicely. I'm not sure I ever specifically tasted the rye but I don't think that matters much, as this is a fine and tasty selection.

Feels quite good, crisp and clean with ample carbonation and a generally pleasant feel in the mouth that fits the style nicely.

The beer is smooth an easy to drink, but maintains that little bit of bite that makes this beer a flavorful and tasty experience, without being too exotic or expensive to enjoy on a regular basis. Will definitely buy again.

This beer uses a great mix of rye and hops. It pours golden and hazy, with a finger width head, with no lacings, and decent carbonation. It has rye aroma, with a strong rye taste, with hints of caramel, herbs, and citrus. it is drinkable, no edge, and has rye after taste...

Poured into a pilsner glass.

Clear orange/amber color with fluffy pumpkin colored 2 finger head. Good head retention and decent lacing on the glass.

Caramel, citrus, grain, and malt smells. Somewhat sweet.

Good flavor. Caramel, hops, rye, woody, not too sweet tasting. Very drinkable.

Medium body, a little watery in the aftertaste. Bubbly tingle helps.

Overall a very drinkable, refreshing Amber Ale. I like it.

A: Pours a clear amber with a creamy, pillowy white head.

S: Aromas of caramel, lemon, biscuits, black pepper, toasted hemp seeds, and rye bread present themselves on the nose.

T: Notes of caramel, toffee, roasted nuts, rye bread, black pepper, herbs, lemon, lime, and hemp seed coat the palate. The finish is long and turbulent with caramel, rye bread, lemon, and black pepper notes vying for dominance.

M: Medium in body, dryish, and unusually velvety in the mouth. Carbonation is firm, but not all that intense. Very drinkable for the style.

O: This is a very nice little ale. I have no clue why I put off trying this for so long because I really enjoyed the unusual mélange of flavors presented by this beer. Definitely worth trying for fans of the style.
