Dropped in on a Friday night with my wife. Put our name on the list for a table and grabbed a spot at the bar. Great selection of local taps as well as a few bigger American micros and a few imports. Huge bottle list with even more local stuff and excellent imports. Had a few beers from Catawba and they had multiple offerings from French Broad, Pisgah, Highland, and Duck Rabbit.

Food was also good. A nice balck bean hummus for an appetizer and excellent pizza for the main course. Prices were all very reasonable (verging on cheap). Atmosphere was loud and lively. Did not go upstairs but I was told they have pool/darts etc and allow smoking up there. Definitely a good place to stop if you are ever in downtown Asheville.

Was not aware this was a chain, it does not change my rating though. This place did not feel like a chain and felt right at home in downtown Asheville. I watched a football game here and was there for the better part of 4-5 hours. Pizza was good as was the beer selection. Lots of local and other NC brews available to try. We visited the pool room/bar upstairs as well as the downstairs dining room. Great service that was friendly and attentive.

Just north of Wicked Weed on the opposite side of Biltmore Ave a very old building with Hardwood floors thru-out a beautiful ceiling and staircase that leads to another level pizza by the slice or pie with whatever toppings you want and loads of pub fare food, they have around 40 taps with emphasis on local brews they offer flights and have a great regional tap list this is a must stop both for food and brew if you are downtown nice service with tasty foods and tap list

We tried to get into Wicked Weed but the line running outside put us off so went back up the hill and street to Barley's. Admittedly, it was Saturday night on Memorial Day. The first floor of Barley's was packed and we were directed to the bar upstairs which was great because there was just a few people there playing pool. The beer selection was good and the bartender knew his stuff
