Dark brown with reddish orange edges. Thin layer of loose carbonation initially that settles to a thin ring of clustered bubbles around the edges. Clarity is good despite the color being relatively dark.
Big bourbon overtones, a little sharpness from the spirit, big raisiny/plum/fig fruitiness.
Woody aroma, some trace oxidation but mature and rich. Light toffee sweetness at first, the whiskey takes hold pretty quickly, overt booze but you sort of have to expect that going in. Traces of dark chocolate, mellow feel after the initial carbonation ebbs.
Less like Imperial Brown Goose, similar to King Henry in some ways, but clearly different.
Big, burly, and boozy.
