Had "State Park" Cutaway IPA at The Western Spur Restaurant, Pin Oak Lodge, Natchez Trace S.P., Tennessee, poured from 12-oz. bottle, no date found, into unfortunately frosted pilsner glass.
Pours deep, apparently hazy gold with 1-finger of foamy off-white head, with good retention, leaving excellent splotchy rings of etched Belgian lace down the glass. Aroma of floral hops and hop and rye bites, and caramel malt as warms. Begins with moderate carbonation, then sweet malt, soon joined by a nice, balancing hop bite, before a crisp, spicy rye and fruity finish.
The rye adds a lot of flavor to this moderate-ABV IPA.
