Clear, pale gold in hue, shiny, there is loads of animation raced towards a fluffy white head. The head at the maximum was three fingers in height; the retention was fair, at best. In a few moments the head had fell to a small, bubbly cap of a half finger, later it turned into a collar. The color is really intriguing. There was no subsequent lacing. I really like the bouquet. The aroma is malty upfront, like a good Pilsner. Then the nose becomes undeniably Belgium! I adore the fruitiness; it is peachy with zippy citrus notes, oranges, and some tropical fruit. Hints of sugar too. The hops are noticeable as well; they seem to impart a firm, bitter, crispness. Suggestions of mint once it warmed significantly. The potency is good and it gets the point across easily, even though the aromas are not that loud but plenty soothing. It is both intriguing and inviting. I can’t wait to drink up! So I do. The palate impressed me on my first sip. The maltiness is tasty and firm; plus it is perfectly balanced with the hop bitterness. These features provide a wonderful foundation for the multiple, subtle complexities. Said complexities are an enormous amount of fruitiness largely of peaches, lemons (not tart), oranges, and sugary tropical fruit. There are also some stand alone, sugary flavors. Yum. But there is still more, hints of mint and maybe even coriander? I am deeply impressed with this beer. It is not big and bold but very tasty, it reminds of New Belgium Loft, only much better on all accounts. The modest abv makes this even more attractive. The carbonation is big and active, lovely; the body is medium in bulk. As a whole the mouthfeel is very pleasant and amazingly fitting for the style, err, this beer. The bubbles tickle! Greg at John’s Grocery in Iowa City recommended La Binchoise Blonde Ale to me (good call)! The next time I see this beer I am stocking up. I am baffled why there are so few reviews! Highly Recommended!

Blonde? More like a Blanche!

I wouldn't call it a belgian pale ale. It looks like a witbier, it smells like a witbier and it tastes like a witbier.
Not too bad though, refreshing. A good summer beer

Desperate to come out of the bottle. Nice head in a tulip. Color: Fuzzy yellow. Aroma: Coriander, orange peel, vanilla. Taste: Too much carbonation. Tastes like a light Hoegaarden. Some wood with a bitter alcohol finish. A good beer for summer to drink fast but not something to taste in detail.

A: Pours a cloudy golden orange with a puffy, pillowy white head. Carbonation appears to be relatively active, giving the beer a turbulent appearance.

S: Soft, bready malts, spices, and citrus are present on the nose. Very light and sweet, but quite appealing.

T: Soft and sweet notes of oranges in syrup, lemon zest, apricot, caramel, biscuits, cream, and vanilla. A dab of spice and yeast flavors is subtle, but present. The finish is very gentle with sweet citrus and cream notes.

M: Medium bodied, smooth, and creamy with gentle, unobtrusive carbonation. Very drinkable.

O: This is an excellent Belgian pale ale. Very nice all around.
