From a growler into a tulip. Reviewed the day of the growler fill.

A-The beer is very pale in color, yellow straw. It is murky and cloudy for the style. The head is medium in height and white. The foam is sticky but retention is pretty short.

S-The aroma is fruity and sweet with melon and a light lemon tartness being most noticeable. The malts are bready and there is also a bit of dried grass and an earthy bitterness from the hops.

T-The taste is less fruity and more bready than the smell with toast and doughy flavors moving more to the forefront. Hops still provide a bit of citrus (orange pith comes to mind) and the melon flavor is still there, too, but not as strong. A vague earthy bitterness (that reminds me of Belgian IPAs) creeps into the finish.

M-The beer is light on the palate and super easy to drink. Maybe a bit too easy and light. Carbonation is pretty smooth and below average in volume.

O-This is an interesting beer and one that grew on me as I drank through two tulips full. The aroma, in particular, is intriguing. It may not be for everybody, but I thought it made a nice summertime sipper.

On tap at the brewery. This one had Belgian pilsener malt and Belma hops. Hazy yellow color, short head. Aroma was pretty ho-hum, mild malts. Flavor was pretty boring too, not very hoppy and not impressive. I wouldn't bother with this one again, nothing special about it.
