Another thanks to my man olavzisper for keeping the lccb flowing my way. Enjoyed from a lccb snifter.

Brew pours a murky semi transparent copper orange with a darker core.
Nose is classic pils. Soft bready toasty malt.
Taste is wonderfully balanced pils. Toasted bready malt, caramel, with nice earthy overtones.
Super easy drinking and fairly full bodied pils. Really wonderful beer, worth checking out.

The beer is transparent and light golden with a small huge head. Grassy, floral, Saaz hop aroma. Sweet and fruity, tasting almost like a hefeweizen - pilsner hybrid. Banana and clove abound. Grassy notes with some biscuit character. Overly sweet and fruity. I can only handle a small amount of this. Ok in sample size doses.

Pour (not sure how many oz's) served in a clear solo cup at Lickinghole Creek brewery in Goochland. From notes.

A: Pours a clear gold color. There's a finger worth of white-colored head - the texture has a rough and bubbly look, but retains acceptably. There isn't much lacing left on the glass.

S: Glorious, glorious Saaz hops. There is a ton of grassiness, which is somehow balanced by its subtle but prevalent malt backbone. Just a kiss of diacetyl floats around (but that's good in a Bohemian pilsner). A simple nose, but one that works extremely well.

T: Same with the taste - it's not exactly complex, just balanced beautifully between an initial blast of grassy Saaz hops and a gently malted finish. After a few sips, I'm getting a load of fresh stone fruit notes. Plain and simple, this just works.

M: An ideal pilsner to me should be soft and dry all at the same time. This one is that, in spades. It's not flabby, either. The carbonation is just high enough to ensure I kill this with almost no effort. It was really refreshing in today's heat, as well.

O: This is close to being one of the best pilsners I've ever sampled (wait, didn't I just sample the best US quad ever right before this? Good job Lickinghole Creek). There's nothing intrinsically mind-blowing or different about this, it's just fantastically well made. God, if only this was in something other than 750s...
