Awesome beer! I had it in a restaurant in NYC (priced like rare wine) but enjoyed every gulp. I would like to find out where I can get a case or two.

Pours a vigorous big bubbled white head that grows in the glass. Color is somewhat cloudy honey orange. Smells like a honey infused saison. Tastes like it too at first. As my taste buds adjust it gets more complex. Somewhat funky but has this nice sweet honey dominate flavor. The brandy warms the throat. This gets better and better as it warms. The barrel aging is perfectly showcasing the brandy . All I can say is that I have never had a honey beer like this before. Brandy honey Brandy honey, wow It's perfect, just perfect, I'm in beer heaven. One of the best unique beers I've had all year. 4.80

Disappointing, as I am ordinarily a sucker for brandy-aged beers. Quite attractive, with a hazy golden-amber pour and a finger of fluffy white head that lingers but produces very little lacing. Smell is like a light scotch aged in sauternes barrels--reminiscent of the Glendronach 14-year with said finish, but with a bit of green apple and potpourri also in the mix. However, it's not quite so pleasant as that description conjures, as there is also a hint of rubbing alcohol and a level of dry heat undesirable in a beer. The taste has some of the same astringency to it, detracting from what otherwise might be quite nice. The less pleasant flavors are not overpowering enough for me to call them off flavors or to cause me to think anything is wrong; it would be better if they were absent, though.

Look is a nice yellow orange hue. Unfortunatly this one was a gusher, leaving me with only 3/4th of a bottle to drink. Smell is of honey and light barrel notes. Taste is honey a bit of brandy and somewhere under is the base triple. Feel is fizzy and over carbed in this one with a very light body. I feel this was a bad bottle or this one has just over carbed over time. I was really looking forward to it but am very let down.

Very honey nose. Huge honey notes at first; reminded me of mead. That gives way to the subtler brandy taste and you oscillate between the two as an aftertaste. Excellent beer and the first I've had like this I would definitely recommend.
