Reviewed from notes. Poured from a 22 oz. bottle into a J. Wakefield Brewing OG teku glass.
A: Hazy dark yellow. Forms a big three-finger white head that lasts for a bit but ultimately fades to ropes of foam clinging to the sides. A good amount of visible carbonation.
S: Lemony citric acid and lactic tart. Pale two-row malts with a mild gristy character. Neither a big nor a complex aroma - this seems muted.
T: Lemon-lime citric acid and lactic tart again up front. Pale malts with a bit of wheat husk. Lemon zest fruitiness. Citrus (grapefruit and tangerine) and lesser grassy hops. Dry lactic tartness in the hang with just a bit of salinity and more lemons. I don't get any oak here, though I wonder if it might be contributing somewhat to the dry finish.
M: A light body and good carbonation sensation overall - but heavier-bodied and lower carbonation than typical for style. Minimal alcohol presence.
O: The lemons play a big role, but this never strays into Pledge territory. Other than the salinity (which is fairly mild anyway), I think it misses some benchmarks for gose as a style. But it’s reasonably tasty, though ultimately forgettable. A reasonably tasty beer, but nothing I’d actively seek out again.
NOTE: The salinity grows as this warms through the drink, and it ends up like a lemon wedge dipped in salt like before a tequila shot (or after, or whenever you’re supposed to do it). But I didn't feel like that changed the ratings presented.

Pale yellow gold, egg shell white head and lacing. Tropical and citric fruit aroma with a hint of pepper and funk. Mango, guava, and lemon on the tip of the tongue, but hop bitterness, oak, and salt dry things up to keep you sipping. The oak is an interesting presence in this gose, giving it some body. Still ridiculously drinkable.

On tap. Poured out a hazy, golden-yellow color with a small, off-white head of foam. It smelled of cracked wheat, lemon and saltiness. Tasted of cracked wheat, saltiness and tart lemons.
