A more delicate, sessionable take on a Grimm IPA brewed with El Dorado and Columbus hops. Inviting hop aromas of cotton candy, honeysuckle, tangerine, watermelon. Crisp and dry, highly drinkable with moderate bitterness. Finishes clean and refreshing.

16oz can from Noble Grains NYC on the UES.
Clean opaque orange with a creamy white head that lingers and nice lacing, not as pungent as other Grimm IPAs, very sweet and lots of candy in the nose with a light bitterness, taste is very sweet, fig, melon, and apple, ending in a very mild bitter/spiciness, full bodied and sticky on the tongue. Quite a different IPA from Grimm, a silky sweet milkshake-like treat.

Canned on 1/9/23, consumed on 2/11/23.
A: Poured into a Tree House tulip. Body is hazy pale golden with a wisp of head that disappears quickly.
S: Grainy (wheat, straw) with a bit of light hops (reminds me of a Noble hop, though the overall nose is so faint that it's hard to identify specific characteristics). Doesn't really jump out of the glass at all; you've got to stick your nose in the glass to get a good whiff. . . .
T: Crackery, grainy malt foundation is followed by some hoppiness - think apricot and underripe peaches, some pine needles, a touch of lime and some generic herbal notes. Finishes with a lingering sweetness that I can't quite put my finger on. . . .
M: Drinks pretty light; carbonation is muted but there.
O: Meh. Considering that I pay a bit of a premium for Grimm beers (I think this 4-pack was either $18.99 or $19.99), this beer doesn't impress. It's not *bad* . . . it just doesn't live up to expectations.

Canned on 04/13/21 - Drank on 05/05/21. Less than three weeks old. . . nice and fresh.
Look: Laces the glass beautifully, with a small one finger head of white foam. Pours a hazy yellow color with minimal visible carbonation.
Aroma: Waxy tangerine rind, orange oil, pineapple jam, apricot skins. . . .
Taste: Bitter and dry. Upfront peppery apricot skins and grapefruit peels. Goes sweet briefly with sort of a malty honey + cantaloupe flavor mid palate before turning dry and slightly waxy again with more notes of citrus peel and bold pine resin. I'm not getting the watermelon flavor that several other reviewers have described sadly.
Feel: Light body, low carbonation. Almost flat. 6.4% abv is apparent . . . it feels boozier than it really is.
Overall: This is nice . . . the flavor is good but it felt a little undercarbonated and overtly dry at times.

Moderate head with little retention, brilliant white, lacing streaks thin but long. Fully hazy liquid, the yellow bright enough so it doesn’t lurk murky. Extremely focused nose of lime/tangerine citrus, damp marijuana, onion, black pepper, and a dollop of pine, not getting much by way of fruit, a mutter of peach, apricot. Light to medium-bodied, finely grained carbonation, balanced well between dryness and juiciness. More straight-up herbaceousness here than ganga, helps it feel fresh and erect, primes the palate for the next sip. The lime finds a new friend in white grapefruit. More pure pine and better clarity in the melon, kiwi, apricot fruit. Slight floral lift at the end. Truly appreciate the freshness and that each element isn’t pushed to its breaking point, allowing other voices to speak. High level of drinkability. (Canned 11/3/20)

Pours a hazy dark yellow with soft, soapy head.
Smell is "green" and herbal, with notes of onion, dank melon, grapefruit and grapes.
Taste is herbal and a bit spicy. Notes of onion, melon, nectarine and grapefruit. Moderate, piney bitterness.
Mouthfeel is medium, soft and pillowy, with godd carbonation.
Overall, a very nice, well balanced IPA.
