My second full round during lunch with my daughters yesterday was a tulip of Clervaux, for $5.50. It is named for a small town in Luxembourg, which I have had the pleasure of visiting, way back in 1986!

The tulip held a medium-to-dark golden, slightly cloudy nectar. Had minimal carbo, plus a fine, light tan head with very nice lacework. Aroma had some fruity action, a bit of spice, and a decent level of hopping. Body was medium to medium-plus, and prickle was present but light.

Had some crackery malt at first, with a touch of sweetness. Following soon was some citrus and a pithy character. The hops lingered, and there was a suggestion of spice here, too. Similar, a bit, to Homunculus. Prosit!!
