Named after the Belgian village near Bastogne, this beer pays tribute to the courage of those who fought in the Battle of the Bulge. Foy is a cloudy golden color, with flavors and aroma balanced by late hop additions and spicy phenols created by our prominent yeast strain. Notes of citrus and grass with a dry finish.

Pours all hazed up and pretty...leaving fine bubble lacing and sheeting.
Sassy nose with some pepper, yeasty goodness.
Tasty brew with a bunch more pepper, lime abounding and yes more Belgian tasting yeast notes. Soft, smooth, flavor filled...pretty darn good, and yes it helps if you love the style

16oz can poured into a tulip.
A: Can was poured without rousing the yeast, but we still get a *just* barely opaque golden color. Large bubbled white head is huge and rocky. It retains at a solid two fingers for the duration and leaves lots of chunky lacing on the glass.
S: Musty yeast, church incense, pink peppercorns, lots of pithiness, lemon rind, pithy orange, apricot, kiwi. Whiffs of grain and cracker. An explosion of citrusy hops, tropical esters, and some fun and easygoing phenols.
T: Very pithy at the outset. Orange rind, lemon, bit of ruby red grapefruit. Flashes of juicy peach and apricot. Tropical esters. Fresh garden herbs and a gentle amount of oily bitterness. Peppery phenols, just barely medicinal. Big dose of musty, lightly funky yeast. Very quick brush of alcohol. Dry overall. Malt character moves from doughy to crackery. Long pithy and tropical finish with notes of hemp and herbal greenery.
M: Medium bodied, but with a very full and fluffy texture. A slight sense of weight presses gently. Ample carbonation. Light, gently raspy hop astringency.
O: It's been a long time since I've has a Belgian IPA, but this is a solid take. The yeast character and fermentation in particular are nailed. I like that it gets to stay lightly funky and rustic. There's a lot of depth and simultaneously great contrast and interplay between that funky yeast and estery fermentation and the citrusy hop profile. I enjoyed it with an excellent Italian cheese called Fior di Tiglio and it made for one of those solidly content pairing experiences that puts a quietly satisfying cap on an evening.

Pours a light fizzy head with med lower retention, bit of lacing, hazy cloudy med orange color
Nose brings plenty of citrus, plenty of bubblegum and generic fruity esters, little citrus zest, creamy wheat doughy malt
Taste more ipa up front, spicy hop with fair citrus zest, more fruity esters and some bubblegum, med to lighter bitterness, light grainy malt and doughy wheat, bit creamy, then get med bitterness spicy hop on the med dry finish, gets a little green spicy as well
Mouth is med bod, bit creamy, med fizzy carb
Overall not bad, good yeast ester profile, malts were decent, wish the hops didn't get so spicy and green though, this brewery is consistently great and this was kinda meh for them

Super underrated style. Hazy in an incidental sort of way. Love the play of the phenols with citrusy hops. Plus some decent bitterness and super dry. Effervescent Belgian mouthfeel makes it even more attractive. Lovely take on a style that is sort of intrinsically refreshing in this beer climate.

Pale straw yellow with small head and lace. Light citrus and yeasty aroma and similar sweetness light Citrus dry finish. Light soft body . Yeasty belgianness. Excellent.

On tap at the brewery. First trip and I love this place!! Syd had a terrific NEIPA (Hop Weave). Wanted to try the Schilling Belgian style. Very solid

My first ever Belgian IPA. Very very nice. I am glad I tried it for sure and I won't have an "ism" about this style again.

On tap at The Blackback Pub, Waterbury, VT. This was poured into a tulip glass. The appearance was a nice looking hazy golden yellow to orange color with a bar pour’s kind of slim white head that dissipated immediately. No lacing. The smell takes in some sweet orange pulp. Adding in some light sweet lemon, subtle Belgian spices and sweet Belgian sugars. Light bready tones slide in slightly. The taste was mainly sweet through the previously mentioned flavors, adds in the subtle Belgian aspects nicely. Light citrus aftertaste, sly wet finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Carbonation runs fairly light allowing the breadiness gently poking the bitterness units to combine and hit my tongue nicely - smooth, yeah somewhat. Overall, pretty nice Belgian IPA worthy of having again.
