Not only are we not afraid of the dank at Cellarmaker, we outright search it out. We really only want to give you the best dankiest dank around so we created our first double I.P.A. in the dank lord’s image. We hope you enjoy this resin caked hop monster that we crammed with Mosaic, Simcoe, Amarillo, Centennial and Zeus hops. Did we mention it’s downright dirty dankiful?

L: coppers/orange, crisp and clear. Off white, fluffy, big head. nice retention and great lacing. not the typical Cellarmaker look
S: pine, resin, melons, citrus, more pine. very nice and crisp. again, not a typical Cellarmaker IPA, none of the hazy, grassiness that many love but i don't think as highly of
T: in line with nose, the pine is very up front and sharp
M: very nice, average carbonation. some of the piney DIPAs have a syrupy feel and this is nice and crisp
O: awesome beer, maybe my favorite Cellarmaker IPA/DIPA

Bottled 8/2. First glass poured into snifter, second into nonic pint.
Brownish gold, very clear, slight carb and constant light lacing. Smells DANK, with resin, pine, malt, and slight tropical fruit notes. Amazing taste. Great hop presence, with bitterness on the front end balanced with malt and pine. Slightly fruity. Great whole mouth filling feeling, really hits the taste buds with multiple strong flavors. Stronger presence overall in snifter. Real winner. Got this in a trade box with Pliny, and I'd have to say I enjoyed this one more (granted, I've had Pliny a couple times already, but I still think that says something about this beer).

A - Pours a clear golden amber w/ a finger of head, great retention and very nice lacing.
S - The name kind of says it all. Wave after wave of dank, pine resin, w/ a hint of tropical fruit sweetness.
T - Tropical fruit and citrus on the front, w/ intensely bitter pine notes on the backend. Like traveling from the tropics to the PNW in one mouthful.
M - Nice malt backbone yet relatively easy drinking for a DIPA.
O - I am not afraid of the dank. I do not run from the dank. I surrender myself willingly to the dank, for the night is dank and full of terrors.

Bottled 08/02/16, not yet a day old.
Pours crystal clear. Smells of ripe, juicy, tropical fruit. Pineapple and oranges is what I am getting from the nose.
Taste follows the nose with a huge punch of over-ripen, juicy fruit. But it is coupled with a firm bitterness to even the sweetness.
Mouthfeel is medium , appropriate body with soft carbonation.
Overall, a killer hoppy beer from Cellarmaker, as always. This was their first Double IPA and it very well might be their best.
