Growler fill thanks to great trader obiwan_k3n00bi (Reddit). Filled 3/25, hopefully held up well.

Chugging pour only yields a small fizzy bubbly head covering, but seems like plenty of carbonation as tehre are many bubbles all over the sides forming in the crystal clear tan apple juice colored beer.

NOse is pure citra hops, lots of tropical fruit notes with mango, little melon and hint pineapple, hint of grapefruit pith and resin, and some passion fruit, the citrus itself is quite mild as the tropical fruit mostly dominates. A very very light malt that practically doesn't exist. It's quite light all around actually, even the hops, but nice hops.

Taste actually starts with a mild sweet malt base, almost caramel toasty malt but just a touch, little juicy too, into big juicy hops, tropical fruits again, all citra. Mango, passion fruit, little dank resin, some melon and juicy tangerine, with mild grapefruit pith, with fair bitterness. They turn a mild melon rind and more grapefruit pith like, with more resin and dankness on the back end, again more fruity than citrusy, although it does get a bit of a candy orange zest like note, and faint candy malt. but for how light it is there is no real booze which is nice, but dangerous. Finihs is quite bitter, hops turn a bit spicy and more rind bitterness, little tropical and citrus fruit but not a ton, little sticky malt feel but mostly dry.

Mouth is med bod, a bit lighter than I expected and pretty much just floats on the mouth, pretty much no booze, nice carb for a 10 day old growler, gotta love those swingtops.

Overall pretty good, not as much pop as I expected, as i think the lighter malt profile tricks you, plenty of citra hops with lots of tropical fruit and citrus, although the tropical fruit wins out over the citrus, but pretty tasty. Wish the nose popped a bit more. Maybe it did when it was a bit fresher, but that's what you get with growler trading.

Pours a perfect pale with minor head, smells of fresh tropical fruit, citrus, berries and Fir. Taste is only slightly bitter with lots of fruit and dank hops.

Growler sent to me from a buddy in ca.

Ultra clear, white frothy head, light gold color.

Smells of fresh citrus, orange peel, lemon, pine resin, green melon.

Orange juice, papaya, light pine, this beer is insanely good.

Smooth, almost pulpy, you can almost chew it.

Awesome. Great ipa.

The beer this most closely resembles, in my opinion, is Social Kitchen's The Smell.

Deep golden color.

Very thin head and lacing.

Citrusy aroma and finish. Hint of melon on the nose.

Medium light body, as IPAs go.

Like it a lot. Top class NoCal IPA. A step behind Alpine Beer Co. No shame there.
