Pours a deep, thick, dark brown/black with a decent head that slowly dissipates to thin ring. No lacing to speak of.
The nose is a delightful blend of milk chocolate and coconut. There is some roasted grain as well and a difficult to place slightly spicy note too.
Taste is similarly coconut and sweet milk chocolate primarily. The coconut has a toasted character. The spice on the nose is not present on the tongue.
The body is thick and full. Slightly oily. Not syrupy. Very good.
This is a top tier coconut stout that I’d gladly have again and am thankful to have tried.

12.0% ABV unlike this entry, canned version
Pitch black and oily, not much head formed after pour.
Sweet chocolate and coconut,
After the smell, pleasantly balanced for sweetness. Roasty malt shows up more to help balance out semi sweet chocolate flavors, and some nice coconut flavor
Medium body, slick and oily

On tap at Cellarmaker
A: Pours basically black with a rich chocolate brown head that settles to a thin layer and leaves a little spotty lacing.
S: Roasted malt, chocolate, a touch of coffee, toasty coconut, a little peppery spice, toffee sweetness, and just a touch of alcohol.
T: Roasty malt, dark chocolate, coffee, then a big punch of toasted coconut jumps out, peppery spice, a little toffee sweetness, and a bit of alcohol warmth, though not unpleasant or out of place for a 13.5% stout.
M: Full body, mild carbonation, with a little alcohol warmth.
O: Easily the most coconut-y beer I've ever had. I'd probably enjoy it just a bit more if it was a little lower in %, or given some barrel treatment, but damn tasty.

Appearance: pitch black, very little brown even along the edges of the beer. little to no head, but leaving behind a small bubbly lacing. as it swirls leaves behind some legs and brown viscosity, completely opaque due to the darkness.
Smell: chocolate, booze, and coconut. light roastiness and even less dark fruit
Taste: opens with a rich malty sweetness. milk chocolate comes in along with hints of maple syrup. some bourbon soaked coconut comes in along with a decent amount of oak. backend is occasional notes of roastiness, dark fruit and a hint of espresso
Mouthfeel: thick, sticky and chewy. lots of sweetness but it is balance by roastiness and hops. boozy and warming.
Overall: another really fantastic beer. wonderfully complex and warming.

Rating this really high because the flavors in this explode on the tongue. Outstanding beer. Bold, sweet, smooth coconut all over the palate. Chocolate, cocoa, cookie batter underneath. Wowie.
