This place used to be "Tellers", a restaurant in an old bank. That venue's downfall was expensive food and cold atmosphere. This new place is a bit better. Still a bit pricey, but it is a nice spot. They added more beer taps and bottles, which is a good move in a college town. Good selection and a nice big board/menu. While they are not beer geeks like myself, they know a bit about beer.
Food was pretty good, too. You can either sit at the bar or be seated at the tables. Good place to eat and grab a few good beers. Just down the street from Frees State, which is alway packed.

First off, I had a great time here and this is a really good craft beer bar. 30 Taps. There was a Lagunitas tap takeover going on the night I stopped in and I got Waldo's Special and Lil Sumpin for $2.50 each (16 oz pour!). Other solid offerings on tap like 10Fidy, Old Raspy, and others. About as good a selection as you will find in KS. And a number of them for just $3 after 9pm.
Service was excellent. I didn't get into much detail with them on the beers since I was familiar with everything on tap, but everyone was extremely helpful and generous.
Atmosphere was pretty chilled for a Saturday night on Mass St around 10 pm. Their were a couple TVs with the NBA playoffs/Royals game on. They seemed to play a ton of Michael Jackson and Prince on the speakers, so be prepared for that.
A really good craft beer option if you are ever on Mass St.

One of the newest gastro pub style places to open in downtown :Lawrence.
First the beers. They have 20-30 beers on tap, and no crap beers either. A few rare selections from Green Flash and Stone. And they had a few from Free State and some other area breweries. I had a few. One was a really bad beer from local brewery 23rd Street, which the bartender was a fellow cbn and got me something else after one sip. Apparently they've had a few issues with that beer.
The food was fantastic. They source alot of their food from local farmers and food purveyors and emphasize sustainable and organic practices.
Seemed family friendly and they did have 2 or 3 tvs at the bar area. A nice upscale looking place, that was relaxed and comfortable. Highly recommend!
