Bottle, no date:
Pours close to black, with a slight buildup of head that recedes to the edges. Tan head at the glass does replenish and thicken even with each sip. There is actually even some lacing.

Smell is dominated by coffee early. After some warmth, the coffee settles down, though remains the primary component of the nose. The oat grain adds a toasted bread note eventually.

The taste is bitter coffee - somewhat astringent on a cold brew, more tolerable as it warms. The coffee seems to lend a bunch of bitterness to the 30 IBU listed on the bottle. The oat adds some dryness and the feel that I associate with oatmeal stouts - a light grainy chalkiness.

A roasted bitter lighter oatmeal stout. I think it is decently constructed, but could use a little sweet malt flavor for balance.

Not as good as expected. Does not stand up to the ratings I've seen. Very coffee forward.

On tap in a shaker pint, the beer is a dark, deep, brownish-black color with a foamy, clingy, low profile, tan head. Aromas of rich, roasted coffee, bittersweet chocolate, and subtle rich cream. Very aromatic. Flavors are rich and roasted mocha coffee forward, with a sweet cream backbone. Very smooth and creamy, with a subtle kick of dryness towards the end. The aftertaste is all coffee and cream, lingering on past the smooth, creamy finish. Tasty.
