In a Sam Adams pint glass the beer was a hazy yellow color with a medium-sized white head.
A fresh, outdoors, grassy aroma. Some citrus.
Spicy lemon taste, a little bit of hops.
Crisp and refreshing. It went down pretty easily.
Good summer beer. Would drink this again.

22 oz bomber with a freshness date on the side of the label.
Appearance: Dimly lit golden hue with a fresh looking white lace that does its job just fine.
Smell: Aroma of yeast and pale malt with a nutty back ground. Malty with a faint citric hop as well.
Taste & Mouthfeel: Smooth, creamy and a bit slick from a bottle conditioned mouth feel, the moderate body flows quite well. Quick juicy burst of lemony hop, then comes a wall of nutty yeast and malt dextrin. Light on the malt with dough biscuity notes. Slight bite from the hops and yeast in the drying finish.
Notes: Very refreshing with some simple complexities. Between the freshness of the brew and it being bottle conditioned it brings me to a happy place in beer heaven.

1 PT 6 fl oz.
AP: Poured a pale straw/golden color with visible bits of yeast and sediment. The head was a pure-white frothy thing with good retention. Very active and bubbly.
Nose: A wheaty and yeasty smell coupled with a mild citrus/lemmon scent.
Taste: A clean wheaty taste with some mild citrus flavors, mostly lemmon ending with a leafy-green flavored hop.
MF: A clean and crisp feel, light on the palate, medium look.
DA: Hearty and refreshing...very easy to drink indeed.

Pours a clear yellow gold with a giant white foamy head. The smell has sweet malt with a background of citrus hops. The taste has sweet malt with just a touch of citus hops and floral flavors. Not bad,but there's not alot here. The m/f is alittle thin with all the flavors mixing OK. Not a bad beer, but there's nothing really memorable in this.

Appearance: Pours a cloudy gold-silver mix. Something like a dirty champagne. Yields a white bubbly head with delicate lacing.
Smell: Minimal aroma of flowery hops. Almost reminds me of a middle-of-the-road lager.
Taste: Flavors reminiscent of both a bitter American IPA and a more balanced English IPA. Big grapefruit flavors are present, but don't take your head off like a strong American IPA. Finish leaves a nice bready note. Leaves a bit of sweetness on the lips.
Feel: Lovely mouthfeel. Seemingly minimal carbonation, but a really good balance between watery and thick.
Drinkability: A very refreshing ale with light flavors. The slightly minimal bitterness creates a sort of spicyness that invites you to take another swig. A good choice for a warm summer evening.

Got a bomber for $11 at the Wild Colonial in Providence. As one friend pointed out, it does smell a touch like feet, but I think that's mostly the mild sulphurs from the German character. Overall it's a decent session beer with a lot of subtle spicy notes. As the beer warmed, that foot-like aroma did intensify, but it's otherwise a decent stab at the style. I'd rather have my kolsch have too much spice than too little.

S: Floral and spicy hops, clean pils malt
L: Hazy golden yellow, white dense head that dissipates quickly.
T: Fairly clean malt with some herbal undertones. Medium low spicy bitterness leads to a clean maltiness, light. Finishes slightly spicy with a prominent cereal note. Quite dry in the finish, some fruitiness as it warms.
M: Medium low body, medium carbonation.
Not bad, not one of BBC's best efforts.

BBC has definaltey changed the recipe on this one within the last four months. When it first came out many people where appalled that BBC would let this go to the shelves as is. Times have changed.
Being a light style doesn't help in its appearence" however, does have some positive, nie lacing, pretty active. Fortunatley this doesn't carryover to the mouthfeel. Nice crsip Europeon-type feel, strong wehat/pilsner finish. I do wish it were a little stronger though, at 4.2%, kind of week in that department, but on the other hand, makes it very drinkable.

Poured from Berkshire bomber into a pint glass. Picked up at Anconas in Ridgefield CT.
Pours brilliant clear gold with fast acting white foam. Clean smell, lemongrassish. Taste is clean crisp smooth. Some citrus at the close. Flavorful yet simple. Very nice.

Light yello win appearance with a head that disappears quickly, but wit hlight lacing reamining. Light citrus hop smell. Taste was initially lightly sweet, followed by a slight hop presence. Mouthfeel was light with some cabonation. Light quality makes it very drinkable. Probably a good summer brew. Not my favorite style, but enjoyable nonetheless.

Got this from the Local BIF from ppoitras. Thanks Pete for the entire package.
A- Pours a clear light straw color. One finger white head comes crashing down rather quickly. No lacing on the sides of the glass.
S- Aroma is a little more than most Kolsch styles that I have had. Bigger grassy notes right off the bat. Light lemon aroma right with the grassy notes. Some herbal hops in the backend with a light sweet grainy note.
T- This tastes a little better than a typical Kolsch. Nothing huge and standout in the flavor profile. Some light pale malts with a bready flavor along with some light grains. Hops are light in the tail end with some herbal flavor to them.
M- Light mouthfeel. Carbonation is good for the style. Light bready yeasts are left on the palate with some interesting hops in the aftertaste. Flavor profile was blended well and no off flavors I thought were in the beer. Clean and crisp tasting.
D- Very drinkable beer. This has to be one of my favorite Kolsch styles. I am not a huge fan of the style but this beer is good. Berkshire has been making fantastic beers and this just proves it once again.

On tap at the Cask Republic, New Haven, CT:
The beer appeared a slightly hazy straw yellow color with a foamy white head with some retention. The aroma was a pleasant sweet malty smell. The taste had a definite German tilt to it, as expected, but wheat and banana...reminded me more of a Kristalweizen than a Kolsch. The beer had a light feel to it, but it was smooth and easy to drink. Overall, a decent beer and one that I would get again, but may not be my first choice.

22 oz bottle. Very thin, clear pale gold color when poured out. The head, does indeed, stay with you for awhile, even when it seems razor thin. Herby aromas faintly float from the drink. Extremely refreshing: easily could be drank with heavy meals. Great carbonation. I would consider this definitely one of BBC's most light and refreshing beers.
