22 oz bomber poured into a tall pilsner glass. The last few ounces were put into a tulip for closer examination.
A - The best part of this beer. Deep golden hue and somewhere in between clear and cloudy. The head was a bit of a let down though.
S - From the glass I get yeast, wheat, some light bannana, clove, bubblegum and lemons. Tiny bit of hops as well. However in the tulip, after a nice swirl I got this almost chemical smell. Not the best smelling hefe, and a bit off putting actually.
T - Wheat and belgian yeast. There's the usual bannanas, clove, and bubblegum from the smell. This is one of the weakest hefe's I've tried.
O - I love BBC, but in my opinion this is one of their weakest offerings. Ill be sticking with their regulars during the summer.

Pours a very pale almost clear gold. Huge amounts of carbonation. Filmy bubbly cream-colored head. Some lacing. Looks nice
Smells typical for the style. Massive banana and clove aromas. There is a yeasty breadiness throughout. Mild spice. Bubblegum sweetness. Average but I love it
Taste follows suit. Huge banana flavor with underlying cloves. Very prominent yeast flavor. Lemony wheat twang. A little spice to balance the sweetness
Feels crisp and very refreshing. About as light bodied as they get. Doesn't feel as carbonated as it looks
Overall I'm impressed by this because I feel a lot of American hefeweizens miss their mark (my opinion of course). This has everything I would expect from a German hefe. That being said, it is really only slightly above average when compared to the likes of Weihenstephaner or Paulaner, etc. On par with Flying Dog's In-Heat Wheat

A-Pours a very cloudy yellow. Mild head. Head is thin but it hangs around and even leaves some respectable lacing.
S-Smells Hefe! Spicy and light. Bubblegum really hits me. Lemon rind and banana flesh. Breadiness is not as intense as others of the same style.
T-Bubblegum. Spicy, yeasty, and breaded. The flavors mix well together.
M-Bubbly, crisp and refreshing. Each sip induces another. Good feel.
O/D-Pretty nice. I find that BBC makes some solid beers. Nothing has ever blown me away (Coffeehouse Porter may argue with that statement) but their beers cease to disappoint. Another surprising goodie.
