A 22 oz bottle courtesy of Dr Dogbeer. A hazy gold liquid that creates a three finger head in my weiss beer glass. Nice amounts of lacing and good retention. It slowly settles into a thin covering of bubbles and sits atop an actively carbonated brew.
Smell is bananas and lemon. Bready notes , yeasty esters of apple mix with the other fruits and cloves.
Taste is tart with wheat malt and sour apple. Bananas at the back of the throat. Lemon interleaves through it all. Hop bittering is a touch more prominent than in most hefes but certainly not out of line. A slightly soapy facet cuts in and out. Finish is clean, dry, and crisp. A lingering taste of crackers and faint bubblegum.
Mouthfeel is lively and crisply carbonated with a fine coating of the mouth and tongue.
Drinkability is nice. A refreshing beer and one that I would have no problems quaffing for long periods.
Overall a good solid effort and one I wound never turn down.

Pours a very pale almost clear gold. Huge amounts of carbonation. Filmy bubbly cream-colored head. Some lacing. Looks nice
Smells typical for the style. Massive banana and clove aromas. There is a yeasty breadiness throughout. Mild spice. Bubblegum sweetness. Average but I love it
Taste follows suit. Huge banana flavor with underlying cloves. Very prominent yeast flavor. Lemony wheat twang. A little spice to balance the sweetness
Feels crisp and very refreshing. About as light bodied as they get. Doesn't feel as carbonated as it looks
Overall I'm impressed by this because I feel a lot of American hefeweizens miss their mark (my opinion of course). This has everything I would expect from a German hefe. That being said, it is really only slightly above average when compared to the likes of Weihenstephaner or Paulaner, etc. On par with Flying Dog's In-Heat Wheat

A-Pours a very cloudy yellow. Mild head. Head is thin but it hangs around and even leaves some respectable lacing.
S-Smells Hefe! Spicy and light. Bubblegum really hits me. Lemon rind and banana flesh. Breadiness is not as intense as others of the same style.
T-Bubblegum. Spicy, yeasty, and breaded. The flavors mix well together.
M-Bubbly, crisp and refreshing. Each sip induces another. Good feel.
O/D-Pretty nice. I find that BBC makes some solid beers. Nothing has ever blown me away (Coffeehouse Porter may argue with that statement) but their beers cease to disappoint. Another surprising goodie.
