Poured into a pint glass. Dark brown, tan head, sticky lacing as I drank. Not bad, but I expected darker.
Smells quite boozy; too much alcohol. It's too strong to get much else.
Tastes okay, hints of caramel and coffee, but too much alcohol.
It's a very weak beer, mouthfeel-wise. Weak and watery. No body at all. The warmth from the alcohol is nice, but that's it.
Not a fan of this beer at all. Totally disappointed.

Enjoyed on tap at the dive bar.
A - Poured into a chalice a light hazy tannish hue with a creamy one finger head that fades to leave a creamy halo and a thin blanket.
S - Aromas of nice lightly sweet malts, sour barrel notes, faint oak, support faint rim add well. Pretty pleasant and inviting.
T - Taste is very lightly sour, what sour is there is slightly vinegar, faint green apples, light run barrel, again the rum is quite faint but is noticeable. Super faint almost metallic finish that lingers on the finish and kind of clashes. It's the combo of sour, rum, and roasted malts that cause it.
M - Mouthfeel is not bad for the style, light carb, quite drinkable.
O - Overall this was not my favourite shabadoo offering from Berkshire. Still, not bad.

On-tap 8/6/13 at Track 84 in Warwick, RI, served in a tulip glass.
A: The beer is a deep brown color, with a short dense off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains tart dark fruit, rum, caramelized malts, coffee and chocolate.
T: The taste starts out sweet with flavors of rum, coffee and chocolate that are quickly followed by a mild sour bite. The hops presence is mild and there’s a hearty malt character. There’s a good balance provided by the sourness which tames the sweetness compared to the regular version. The after-taste is slightly sweet.
M: Crisp and very smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.
O: Tasty, goes down very easily, not too filling, decent kick, good variation of style, this is a very good flavorful beer to drink for a long time if you’re looking for something different.
