13.5%? holy moly. Pours medium carbonation, gold color, citrusy, fruity, maybe hint of dank on the nose? Very smooth and rich, with balance between hops, grain booze. Almost like an unaged barleywine with some hops but the whole package is pretty balanced and fun to sip through.

The bottle I poured from claimed 13.5% ABV. No visible date on the bottle. Since I live about 30 miles from the brewery, I am confident the four pack I got has not spent half its life bumping along on a truck. The beer is unlike any Imperial IPA I have had. The flavors, lots of citrus which balanced the rest, were more subtle than most. Hard to believe this is as high in alcohol as it says...although I will admit to feeling it over time.

All in all, this one is a winner in my book. As others have mentioned, care is advised - - it will sneak up on you, as it is very smooth. I did not detect any boozy hints at all.

Wilma’s Wandering Eye PA is floral, fruity nicely balanced and dangerously drinkable. This 12% Super Imperial IPA is not hazy, dank or juicy, but it is kick-Ass, and will please those fans of traditional IPAs. I had this beauty on draft at The Beer Den at Lowes Foods, where every Thursday is half-price Happy Day.Two of these are sure to have both of Wilma’s eyes—and yours— wandering. Enjoy, but handle with care.

Wow what a jammer! I had my first from tap @Hops Burger Bar. The taste was very surprising in that it wasn't overly hoppy as I expected. Actually light & fruity. Brings to mind a barley wine and while the waiter said it was 10.3% I see it's listed higher. Slightly boozy but very nice. I'll be stopping by the Bestway "wall of beer" to see if they have this in bottles. Wilma is worth a try!

This is most "refreshing" 12.2% ale you'll ever taste. It is not very hop forward as I expected, nor overwhelmingly malty finish. It is very well balanced and drinkable, unlike some very high gravity ales (10%+). Appearance was a fairly typical golden clear ale, feel was somewhat less than expected knowing the ABV beforehand but very satisfying none the less; overall an excellent ale. I should mention I had it on draft. I was also pleasantly surprise to see it is a local brew (NC).
