Rich, Creamy and nicely spiced with pumpkin pie seasonings. Balanced flavors of pumpkin and malt, with a subtle hop bitterness.

Our two Gourds got together to craft an epic fall seasonal. Their mutual love of heavy metal and high gravity beer inspired this head bangin’ brew. Don’t forget to wear your padded helmet, cause your gourd’s gonna get rocked!

Look: It pours dark brown with a tan head. Head retention is very good.

Smell: There are aromas of cinnamon, all spice, ginger and nutmeg. There are light roasted elements in the background that are mostly masked by the pumpkin spices.

Taste: It has strong cinnamon and brown sugar flavors that gives the impression of apple. There are also some nutmeg elements with very light roast.

Feel: It has a medium body, on the full side. the finish is sweet.

Overall, a nice combination of flavors that are easy to drink, yet strong in the alcohol although I didn't notice it.

Motor oil brown in color. The pumpkin comes off with a bit of a banana and clove profile between the roasted malts and vegetable blend. Overall it's definitely more on the sweet side even as a porter. Definitely
Feel is well carbonated and full bodied thick. Alcohol is pretty well hidden, not bitter, though very malty with lots of barley notes and hearty. The vanilla comes out in as well, once you look for it and find it it's a pretty rich vanilla.

Pours a dark brown with medium carbonation. Lots of malt and pumpkin on the nose, taste is much the same. Maybe my first time trying this kind of pumpkin beer but overall the pumpkin and booze balance each other out and makes for a fun experience.

Black color, thin white head. Very boozy up front. Weak pumpkin notes, overpowered by the spice notes, but they finally show up on the finish. A little bit of vanilla and chocolate once the beer warms up a bit.

L: Had this beer on-tap at Brewmasters - Wilson, poured into a pint glass. Had a dark brown / black color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was a half inch of creamy, off white, long-lasting head. Good lacing.

S: A very good aroma of pumpkin, malt, spices, hops, vanilla, and chocolate.

T: Tasted of a hint of hops (kind of fleeting), some vanilla notes, a lot of spices (cinnamon, nutmeg), a good amount of malt (present throughout), a decent shot of pumpkin (of course), and a tinge of chocolate for good measure. It really does taste like a pumpkin pie. It's more spice than pumpkin, but this doesn't matter; it's a tasty beer.

F: A fair amount of carbonation with a smooth finish. Medium-bodied.

O: A thoroughly likable pumpkin beer. Drinkable.

12oz bottle poured into a goblet

A- pours deep brown color with a one-finger foamy khaki head that has short retention

S- light nutmeg & cinnamon, roasted malt, a hint of oaky bourbon, a bit muted overall

T- pumpkin spice notes of cinnamon, nutmeg and light clove up front, followed by light chocolate and oaky barrel juice. The finish gives more cinnamon and bourbon on the linger

M- medium body with moderate carbonation leads to a slightly foamy mouthfeel that continues into the finish

O- solid pumpkin porter that has some nice barrel notes throughout

Look: Pours super, super dark with a very thin tan head that lingers. Looks like molasses.

Smell: pumpkin, vanilla, noticeably absent scent of alcohol given the 9.4 percent mark.

Taste: cinnamon, vanilla, caramel, almost taste like a charred marshmallow. The back end is entirely pumpkin pie.

Feel: very light carbonation. My idea of a dessert beer as far as mouthfeel.

Overall: tasty as hell. It’s a one-and-done here for me because it’s so rich, but that’s alright with an almost 10 percent beer. Highly recommend!

Poured from a bomber, midnight black with an almost nonexistent head. Rich smell of spices and toasty roasted malts. First taste of vanilla, pumpkin spice and rich velvety malt, toasty almost graham cracker sweet. Very light taste of any pumpkin. Great mouthfeel, rich and full bodied, and not too sweet. Great balance of roared barley, spice, vanilla and bready malt. Well done!

I am impressed, I tend to avoid pumpkin beers at all cost as the vegetable, raw taste is usually horrible IMO. But this is tasty, great build on an imperial porter foundation. I'll be enjoying more of these as it gets colder out.
