An amber beer with an orange hue and a light hazy. There is a good head stand of ricky off-white bubbles that leave a fine lacing on the glass.
Hops meets spice, having a heady aroma of citrus hops and pepper along with a touch of clove. There light honey-like sweetness and a faint note of alcohol sweetness. A medium level of phenols and moderate orange esters.
Hop and yeast derived citrus flavors up front backed by supporting spice notes. There is a medium-strong citrus hops flavor with a medium level of orange esters. A medium-strong hops bitterness against a medium-light, clean malt sweetness making for a fairly bitter balance. the fniish is off-dry with an aftertaste of citrus, spice and hop bitterness.
A lively beer on the palate with a medium-strong level of carbonation and medium bodied beer that has a light creaminess to it.
A great Belgium style IPA blend the fruit and spice of Belgian beers with a decidedly American hop character. This beer is dominated by a flavorful and elegant blend of citrus hops and belgian yeast character.

On tap at Abandon Brewing Company in Penn Yan, NY. Growler procured as well.
Pours a hazy golden straw yellow. One finger fluffy head, very good lacing.
Smells like some typical Brett farmhouse flavors, with grapefruit and pine.
Pretty funky beer for an IPA. It is hoppy saison, a saison/IPA hybrid if you will, and it works. Hops up front in the flavor, a little bit of bitterness, followed by Brett funk. Awesome!
Light to medium mouthfeel, crisp, dry, and well carbonated.
Another great beer from this very promising new brewery.

Poured a bright hazed straw hue with a one finger frothy white head. There was good retention and lacing.
The smell featured a lively ester and vibrant piney hop.
The taste offered a fresh upfront ester spice with secondary pine and herbal notes.
The mouthfeel was typical of the style.
Overall a very well made "white" IPA.

Pretty clean beer taste-wise. Hint of brett and a grapefruit/pine profile. Hazy appearance with a beautiful golden hue. A bit more carbonation than I prefer, but that's a minor pet peeve of mine and probably exclusive to my hop-riddled brain. I think this is a solid example of an IPA and heads and tails above some of the hop smoothies being pumped out by many "craft" breweries.

Sampled at the brewery
Appearance - Some of my favorite beers are unfiltered, so when I see a beer like this mark it high.
Smell - Nice smelling. I can smell the hops distinctly, not sure but may use Simcoe hops..
Taste - Extremely drinkable
Mouthfeel - Smooth on the lighter side decent amount of carbonation.
Overall - Very good Belgian style IPA. I asked the owner if this was a white IPA and he said it was not. I see the first review identified it as a white IPA. Given that's it's unfiltered I was questioning this.
Great job Abandon!
