Very good example of this ancient style, which is happily making a bit of a comeback.

L: Pours an opaque light muddy yellow-ish color. One finger creamy white head that dissipates quickly but leaves a film. Quite clingy to the glass.
S: wheat, smoke. Lighter aroma than expected.
T: Wheat, smoke, grainy. Citrus background. Curious wood. Interesting.
F: mouthfeel is medium bodied and cleansing.
O: Worth a try. Very interesting. Unexpected.

Pours a surprisingly pale straw yellow, topped by a snowy white head with excellent retention.
Smoky aroma, meaty and savory and woody, nearly overwhelming pale grains.
It's a fairl sweet, bready brew, with the smoke really coming on strong on the back half. Tons of woody, fireside smoke. Slightly buttery note that worsens as it warms.
Light feel, slick and easy. Long sticky finish.
