i think its amazing this is on tap in meridian idaho, found it an wingers, have not seen anything from these guys anywhere else in the state, weird for a chain like this to score this keg, pretty neat. anyway, my wife made the comment that she wished it were a little more oude, and i agree wholeheartedly, way less lambic and more cherry candy and fruit punch to this one. i do like sweeter krieks in the lindemans vein, and this is really different than that, but its the same idea, sweet and fruit, less funk and oak and wild. gorgeous, and i mean stunning ruby red color on this and an inch of almost nitro looking pure white foam, really pretty beer with nice shine and glow and clarity. the nose is cherry candy for sure, like sticky red nondescript hard candy, reminds me of being a kid. instead of medicinal from lambic funk, this is medicinal like cough syrup, an almost artificial saccharine thing to it, but its appealing never the less, i like the high saturation, little else going on but light acidity to it, fits with the fruit. the flavor does have a little woody maturity underneath all the sweet cherry juice, and i even get some late bitterness and even herbal character with the fruit somehow, perhaps a subtle aged hop thing coming through, so there is balance and a little dynamic element. hints of iodine, cherry popsicle, and soft wheat, this doesnt seem long aged or anything, definitely doesnt seem wild inoculated, but the flavors are good, the fruit is robust, and there is just enough intrigue here to hold my attention, even if its way too sweet to drink more than one pour of. ive liked the handful of beers ive had from kerkom, i wish more came around. not my first choice in types of kriek, but the quality cannot be denied. fun fruit beer, still fully belgian which i dig, well refined, a crowd pleaser.

Don't judge by first smell!!! It tastes a lot better than it smells. This is a sweet almost wine tasting beer that is delicious all the way to the bottom of glass.

Smallish head that settles to rim bubbles. Decent webby lace considering. The liquid is light ruby brown color. Cloudy.

Mostly sweet cherry aroma with a touch of sourness and darker malt.

Very sweet taste without any counterbalance from other non-sweet tastes. Reminds me of fruit punch with light soda pop-like carbonation. The body, though, is rich. More like dessert (think sweet cherry pie) than as a dessert beer.

This poured pink, smelled super sweet, and tasted super sweet. There was no tartness to this at all. It was sweetened cherry juice. I didn't enjoy this at all.

"Sweet cherry" and "local cherry juice blended with a golden ale" on the beer labels.
Not a lambic, and doesn't claim to be, Kriek simply means cherry in Flemish.
There are no extracts or syrups used, only pure cherry juice, as stated on the label.

Pours a dark Crimson red with pinkish foam, bright clarity, spotty lacing.
Aroma is deep sweet cherry, fresh and natural, juicy.
Taste is sweet with a light tart pucker, more of a dark cherry kirsch taste.
Body is light and effervescent. Overall this is a nice fruit beer with a unique cherry flavor, not artificial at all.

it's soooooooo sweet. tastes like processed, sweetened cherry juice. finishes a bit medicinal, not unlike cherry flavored cough syrup. i am not a fan, and would rather drink almost anything else.

Pours a ruby red color with a raspberry color tinted head which is moderately big. The lacing retains and sticks to the glass. Lots of complexity in the aroma; funky, tart and sour, which reminds me of overripe fruit. I'm also picking up some floral aromas and even some of the malts. The taste is predominantly cherry sweet. There is only a slight hint of tartness in the finish. It is light and easy to drink.
I do not drink fruit lambics very often. This one was quite sweet. I would prefer something with a little more tartness, but it was tasty nevertheless.

Sampled yesterday on 11/18/15. Comes in a 330ml (11.2 ounce) bottle. Bottle chilled down to 36 degrees F in my beer cooler and poured in to a snifter glass.

Brew pours a deep ruby in color with a good 1-finger foamy egg-shell white head. A dent amount of lacing was seen when sipped. Aroma is of dark cherries and malts. Pretty much is said for the taste and is tart, but not sour or sweet. Goes down very easy. Very tasty and a great seasonal drink. Lighter-side of medium bodied with good carbonation.
