Coming in a 330ml brown bottle, bottle-conditioned; bottled on 03/01/2014, BB 03/07/2014, served mildly-chilled in a straight pint glass.
A: dark yellow-ish straw colour, coming with very light haze, lively carbonation, and a fairly thick off-white frothy head.
S: zesty citric, sour yeasty, lightly spicy upfront, with a mild whiff of malt sweetness; Nelson Sauvin at best contributes a bit more lemony and mixed fruitiness on the nose. Overall very nicely executed with a colourful profile, with nothing bold to display.
T: a good swallow of grainy malts and wheat precedes a fundamentally tangy and dry palate rendered by the yeasts’ work as well as the good amount of hops; the aftertaste is lightly tannic bitter and dry, leaving a little bit of zesty lemony undertone and lingering spiciness.
M&O: softly carbonated, medium-bodied, showing a sound balance b/w a low level of sweetness, acidic yeastiness and good hop bitterness. Less overpowering in terms of fruitiness than 01|01 Saison (Citra) and benefiting from a bit higher level of attenuation. Very easy drinking and likeable.

Slightly hazy champagne blonde with cratered snow head that's solid.
Pleasant phenoly rubber nose plus lemon peel and crackery grain.
Saltines, then lemon peel herbs, some pink peppercorn, then gooseberry, white fig, and potpurri spice. Pink grapefruit hops as it opens.
Passionfruit end and dry pithy linger.
A bit more than light, grainy, some oil.
Flavors come in waves and twists. Yeast is restrained, esters are low, NS is delicate - all very balanced. Refreshing. A superb saison.
