poured 22oz bottle into snifter. Bottle dated 9/17/13.

A - Clearish light orange/honey color and a good 2 finger white head. Fades into a collar that leaves behind blotches of lacing.

S - Typical citrus, grapefruit, and some light pine notes. There is some cracker and bread maltiness with hints of caramel and honey.

T - Citrus, grapefruit, and hoppy pine notes up front. Middle is cracker and bready malt with caramel and honey to knock back the bitterness. Finish is mostly bitter grapefruit.

M - Light bodied and easy to drink. Not a big biter presence on the palate.

O - Standard IPA offering that is not really great or complex. On the same level as many IPAs in the state. It should be known they do not currently have a bottling machine and the beer is trucked up to Point brewery, bottled, then distributed.

Pours golden with a thin lasting white head. Lacing sticks.

The smell is of grapefruit, orange, some lemon with a subtle bready pale malt backing. Some spicy pepper mixes in.

The taste is if citric and aspirin-like bitterness upfront with a late honey sweetness balancing it in the finish.

It has a chewy body. Smooth.

Overall, it's a nice standard American IPA.

Appearance: Light orange color to this brew. Crystal clear transparency. Finger worth of head on the pour which continued to regenerate while drinking. Above average active carbonation for the style.

Smell: Caramel malt hits on the front of the nose. Body of some saturated oranges and tangerines with lighter accents of airy tropical fruits. Mild pine bitterness on the back end. Grains and molasses contributions from the malt backbone bring this one full circle.

Taste: Grains and oats greet the drinker. Those quickly yield to a sweet caramel malt backbone. Medium bitter pine hits first on the hop front. Light citrus fruits pick up toward the back end and are present in the finish. All areas are muted and a little watery.

Mouthfeel: Malt sweetness and light dried fruits are the most memorable textures felt on the palate. Carbonation fits this brew.

Overall: Pretty much a middle of the road IPA. Always happy to support a local brewery, especially in the can format. Probably wouldn't buy it again but certainly would try other Wisconsin Brewing Co offerings.
