On Monday nights they have $2 pints on Minnesota craft beers. Affordable, and a cool way to try diffrent brews on the MN scene. Surly, Fulton, Indeed, Lift Bridge to name a few..

Has a big suburban shopping mall vibe like it may have been anything else in the past and is now a bar. They have 35 beers on tap and it is a decent selection. The menu is bar food - pizza, burgers and a few things thrown in for the vegetarians.

Nice, big place, with a second floor atrium area and the feeling of a converted suburban shoe warehouse -- not probably a flattering description, I know (check out the Myth nightclub!), but it's been spruced-up with beer-y tin tackers and promotional signage and *neons* and all sorts of other touches that have made the reclamation a satisfactory one for this-here beer lover. Surly seems to have a good representation here, for example, and that can't be a bad thing in middle-of-nowhere Roseville, MN -- am I right?

Food choices her range from greasy-good pub grub to slightly more sophisticated, but this isn't downtown Minneapolis. Happy Hour specials are decent, with both taps and appetizers a buck of so off. Service is good... altogether I prefer this to the Washington Avenue location, but with the new Day Block operation going in downtown, I'd say they'll be tied.

For what it is (a conversion of the previous conceptually-challenged "KFAN" sports bar) the selection here really is outstanding, but nowadays there are dozens of places with similar or better selections. But the fact of the matter is that none of those options are spitting-distance from PDBC!

This one is worth a stop if you're on the outskirts of Roseville and don't feel like driving to Stout's, all the way up in Falcon Heights. Actually, it might be worthy of a destination if you are crawling the north-eastern suburbs of Minneapolis: Barley John's, PDBC, Grumpy's could make for a great day of drinking -- as long as there's a sober driver. ;)
