Bought in 500 ml bottle in Germany in Dec 2012. This beer is obviously no longer retired and is being brewed this year.

A - Beer is beautifully clear. The color is light gold, just a bit darker than a typical pilsner. The head is white and thin. Some lacing. It looks like a typical European lager, not a Christmas seasonal beer.

S - Aroma is like a generic European lager. Nothing special. Mostly slightly skunked noble hops, some light malt in background. No obvious spicing.

T - Flavors are fairly muted. Hops are in the forefront, but they seem aged and slightly skunked. Malt is in the background only as a vague grainy note. Nothing else of note.

M - Light to medium body. Low hops bitterness. Prickly, slightly harsh carbonation.

O - There is nothing special about this beer. I bought it based on its Christmas-oriented label, but this is not worth your time and is certainly not a special beer to celebrate the season with.

Weihnachts Bier from Schwaben Braeu pours with a dark gold colored body, and promotes a decent light tan and sticky looking head.

Aromas produced are a little herbal and cinnamon like. There seems to be a little bit of a spicy fragrance too.

This brew is crisp and feels clean. It has a light taste of wheat cracker like taste. This is a good session beer.

A kind gift from my German flatmate, who brought this beer all the way from home, Stuttgart. BB 24/04/2007, served chilled in a weizen glass.

A: lovely dark golden hue, the white beer head comes creamy and frothy, with very good retention, on top of moderate and constant streams of tiny fizziness.
S: floral hoppyness buttresses excellent-quality doughy malts and an indispensable lemony and crisp edge of a good lager... The maltiness lingers pretty well, but never to the extent of overwhelming.
T: unexpectedly light-bodied, almost corn-ish, maltiness gradually introduces a soothing and crisp doughy taste, followed by very mild bitterness of noble hops to rub the rear of the tongue, whilst a lingering, dryish-sweet and sour aftertaste of malts stays at back till the end of tasting.
M&D: clean palate and softly fizzy for a good lager, although the body in the end turns slightly thin-ish; overall this is a pretty light, malty lager, potentially a session drink. A light-weight and easy-drinking lager for X'mas!... slightly underperformed, though.

BB 06-04-07. Everlasting thick white head and bright but deepgolden beer. Nose is very hoppy with herbal note, fine and good but not overdone maltyness sharp bite of sulphur but fitting and further very clean and fresh inviting brew. Taste is also full, well hopped, bit of sweetness but overall dry and good on pale maltarome. Well balanced with sparking carbonisation beggin for another sip. Too bad almost all german winter/weinachts biere are just a bit heavier pilseners/weizenbeers but this one is a good example how good german beer can be IMO.
