Just a charming coffee shop, bakery, and beer bar. An ivy and Live Oak covered building that kind of blends in with the rest of the neighborhood, almost to the background. Exposed brick, a few dinning areas inside, and a near perfect covered patio outside. I love the atmosphere.
It is counter service at first. You have to wait in line to order, and they give you a number if you got any food. Then find a table. The baristas are welcoming and knowledgeable on the menu. They will keep a tab open at the counter, so you don't have to keep getting up.
An excellent selection. About 25 taps that rotate. Plenty of Houston and Texas breweries. Also some stuff that places like Hay Merchant has yet to carry. Ola Dubh 1991, for one, which I have not seen anywhere else on tap. Founders, Firestone Walker, etc. A really well rounded selection.
Food is excellent. A large menu that covers pastries, baked goods, sandwiches, and thin crust wood fired pizzas. The Mozzarella sandwich on focacia bread is amazing. Everything here is so fresh and well prepared.
A spot that has been here forever, and a place I have only gone to a handful of times. Now that I have rediscovered this awesome place again, I will be here much more often.
