Great beer and taste just like the regular dragon's milk but the chilies give it a kick that isnt too hot but not too mild either. Nice dark color very little head goes down fairly smooth then the chilies kick in so be careful of that. other than that an excellent beer that is worth trying

I think a worthy beer for #4,000.Pours a deep roasted walnut brown with a garnet hue,a beige colored creamy head atop.A great mix of chocolate, roasted nuts, molasses, and chili in the nose, all come together really well.Love the flavor profile with semi-sweet chocolate and roasted nuts/coffee standing out at the onset then melding into a sweetish molasses-like middle than quite a big shot of the chili de arbol really making a presence in the finish and it lingers.A great beer,Iam not the biggest fan of the "regular" bourbon barrel aged Dragons Milk but this is great, loved it.

Little stronger alcohol taste rather than beer. As a bourbon fan, I didnt mind too much. But this is not like most imperials. STRONG finish

Overall a fantastic addition to the dragons milk line. The chilies are integrated perfectly, bringing just the right amount of heat to an already solid ba stout. One of the better integrations of chilies I've had out of any midwest breweries, generally preferring west coast breweries use of chilies...but this one naoied it...dark, roasted, smoky, with a lingering heat....

A- pours a pitch black with a frothy khaki head of about 1 finger. Nice lacing

S- milk chocolate comes to mind first. Some barrel character. Faint peppery notes. Touch of vanilla. Light booze. The pepper aspect seems quite subdued on the nose to me.

T- the pepper is tempered no more as it comes at u like a banchee. Bourbon is picked up initially, then a layer of charred malts and smoke, then nothing but raw spice in te finish.

M- creamy, mid to full body. Lots of finish in the warmth, but mainly due to spice, not alcohol

O- a really quality pepper stout. More heat than a bomb or huna, but still brings some nice flavor to the table before it stings the taste buds

Dragon's milk with a spicy pepper background. Love it, though not for everyone. Seasonal so hard to find right now (Fall/Winter), though would make a great winter brew. Drank half and put the rest into a mole sauce to reduce, came out really well. Still has the bourbon barrel background without the spicy pepper overtaking the whole entire profile. Only bad part is that I can't find anyone who stocks it right now, and who knows if they'll release their reserve again.

650ml bottle, poured into a FFF/DMC snifter 6/21/2014.

A- Dark cola brown body, one finger tan head that is short-lived. Looks very similar to the base Dragon's Milk. No lacing.

S- Smells very peppery, hinting at the heat beneath. Not a ton of bourbon, but then again the base Dragon's Milk already didn't have a ton of it. A little bit of smoke, roast malt.

F- This is hot, hot, hot! Roast malt, a bit of milk chocolate, smoke and pepper heat. Hot stuff, but not insanely hot to make it undrinkable. Not complicated, a bit of bourbon but not a ton; there already isn't much in the base beer and it seems to be covered up by the heat that scorches my palate.

M- Thinner bodied, fine carbonation, with the chili peppers packing a punch on the backend. Doesn't linger for too long, which is nice.

O- Not a complicated stout with a lot of pepper heat. If you are one of these people who enjoy that pepper heat, this has it in spades.

7th tasting of the evening. Aroma of Dragon's Milk with, you guessed it, Raspberries. Taste is smooth, criminally smooth.

Excellent beer. Everything one would expect from Dragon's Milk with a refreshing touch of raspberry. Does not overpower, and not too sweet. Perfect fruit balance.

Another very good beer from new holland. While the chilies are very strong they do not overpower the beer. The chilies impart a good flavor that compliments the stout well. The only downside is that the bourbon taste I love from dragons milk seems to get hidden behind the heat and flavor of the chilies. Overall a very good beer

Pours really dark with a creamy white-caramel head. Tastes of mild coffee with a vanilla aftertaste, there is a slight taste of alcohol in the background. Tastes do come out better as it warms up. Little creamy but has a nice finish.

I really enjoyed the original Dragon's Milk but this one was not quite as good. The chilies were too overpowering and drowned out what is a really great barrel aged stout. It left a burning in my mouth that numbed the taste buds.

Overall a decent stout. Maybe some aging would mellow out the flavors but as it is right now the flavors battled each other instead of complimenting.
