Appearance: Pours a very translucent copper color. The head was just under a finger's worth. Lacing was decent, not too thick but still had some stick around.
Aroma: First smell I got was slight pumkin, cinnamon, and spicy hops. With some more sniffing comes the nutmeg and sweet caramel notes. Not as much pumkin aroma as I had hoped for. Very disappointed with the aroma.
Taste: Again, not much pumkin activity going on. I get that mild/medium hop spice bite I was expecting from the aroma. Nutmeg and allspice is slightly overpowered by the cinnamon. Carbonation is ok, wasn't expecting much for this type of beer. Mouthfeel is medium bodied.
Conclusion: I wouldnt recommend this beer to someone looking to try their hand at a good pumkin beer. On the other hand, I would probably recommend this to someone who isnt very fond of pumkin but might want to give the style a try. Still, who the hell wants to drink a pumpkin ale without much pumkin?
