Looks just like a pumpkin (amber) ale should, beautiful orange color, and a nice head. Were the head a bit thicker it'd have been perfect.
Nose: pumpkin, caramely malt and what is probably the exact right amount of spices. the spice is strong, but not overpowering. It smells sweet, but not sickly so.
Palate: sharp spices front and center, gives way to the malt notes, the pumpkin is present the entire time, but comes out more against the malt. I'm not a big fan of amber ale malt profiles and pumpkin, which this has, but it's as good as any amber pumpkin malt taste pairing.
the finish is lack luster, almost watery, but hints of spice and pumpkin linger.
overall: one of the best pumpkin ales I've had, possibly even the best.
