Grabbed a bottle at GCT. Drawn to it by he name.
Pours to an orangish-red with a vanilla colored head that dissipates pretty quickly.
Smells of cinnamon and nutmeg; I'm not getting the pumpkin. It's a bit too heavy on he spice side in he nose.
Tastes really good--luckily, the taste is much more balanced than the smell. The cinnamon is the dominant taste, and I wish the pumpkin were more prevalent, but it is good.
It's a little thinner than I'd like. Aside from the weakness of the body, the mouthfeel is just fine. A little bite, but it is from the cinnamon not the alcohol, so it's okay.
I think there's just a little too much spice--especially cinnamon--which held this pumpkin ale back from being what it could be. Still, it's nice.
