Poured from a 12oz bottle into a nonic glass.
Appearance - Beautiful golden orange color. One finger head which leaves pretty fast. Tiny amount of lacing.
Smell - Malt with spicy nutmeg. Perhaps a faint smell of pumpkin...but mainly an autumn spice smell.
Taste - Malt with tangy sweetness, then you get the pumpkin spices toward the end. Aftertaste is nutty spice.
Mouthfeel - Round and hearty
Drinkability - Paired with autumn foods...I could drink a couple. Otherwise it's fun just to have one to celebrate the season.
Overall this is a well crafted spice ale. Not really a huge pumpkin taste. Better quality than most of the novelty pumpkin ales. Worth a try.
