Pours a light shade of hazy gold with a 1/2 finger head with an astonishing amount of lacing going on. These arches of lace are seemingly glued to my pint glass and make a sort of honey comb pattern. Decent head retention.

This one smells of lemon rind, seltzer water, and hard crackers.

Tastes dusty and salty. Lemon, a bit of sugar, then bitter citric hops. This one has a firm wheat cracker snap that is supported by a bready malt sweetness. The finish is peppery, dry, and bitter but not puckering. I would call it tart. Mothfeel is watery and thin, but that contributes to the refreshing nature of this beer, and adds somewhat to it's drinkability in the summer.

Overall, this lemony whit is very refreshing but otherwise uninteresting. Some qualities of this whit seem a little off balance, and I feel like there is something missing. Also, the saltiness gets a little strong towards the bottom of the glass and the bitter aftertaste is a little overdone. That said, I would not refuse one of these on a hot summer day, but I probably wouldn't buy this again.

Appearance: light head on the pour. Golden bright yellow color. Sticky lacing left behind.

Smell: some easy wheat and oats on the front. Bright hops additions on the body.

Taste: gummy hop body is well done. Some rounded wheat is felt on the body with lingering hops. Nice dry oates are felt on the back end.

Mouthfeel: crisp and really drinkable.

Overall: if you are a wit fan this is definitely worth a try. Hop additions are really well done.

I think this beer may have been an old bottle or maybe a bad batch. I'm almost sure that this beer shouldn't have been as bad as it was. I like most Wit beers but this one fell through the cracks for me. It's almost tasted sour, and nowhere near as refreshing as it should have been. Anyway this brew was a cloudy yellow color, with a lot of lively bubbles in it that tingle your mouth.

Poured a hazy yellow with a small head with lttle retention. There was hardly and lacing at all left on the glass. It smelled of wheat and some spiciness from the yeast. There were also some notes on citrus. The smell was very faint though and I felt that I had to work for it a bit too much. This beer tasted kind of like an average tasting wheat beer to me. There was some citrus and spice notes. The mouthfeel was pretty light, carbonation was okay, and it went down decently smooth. This beer was decently drinkable. I think it would go pretty good on a hot day at the beach. There wasn't too much about this beer that really stood out to me too much, but I think I would try it again.

Cloudy and yellow with a burst of carbonation that forms about a half-inch of head then quickly falls to a collar of bubbles. Smells of ciitrus. Fairly thick body. Surprising amount of bitterness. Peppery towards the finish. Not sure of this in production anymore, but it tasted relatively fresh. A good spring beer.

On-tap in an imperial pint glass.

A- Hazy, golden color I'd expect for the style and about finger thick head. Good, sticky rings left on the glass.

S- Citrus and wheaty qualities. Added spice, a grains of paradise/black pepper aroma.

T- Much as the aroma would suggest. A lot of citrus and the peppery spice combined with the wheaty flavor.

M- Pretty smooth, with a bit of graininess. A little puckering/drying effect from the citrus qualities.

D- It's an easy summer drinker.

Poured to a hazy light yellow with little head or lacing. Aroma was faintly spices and wheat, but I had to work hard to get that. Mouthfeel was a little on the thin side, though I did notice a slight tingle. Taste was more of the muted spice of the nose, and the finish was short and non-descript.

Not much to this one

12oz. Rigorous pour with a swirl of the bottle towards the end of the pour to loosen the yeast sediment reveals a chalky, opaque, hazy yellow ale topped with a rather thin white head. It does, however hold some retention and leaves some sticky lacing on the glass. Aromas were of wheat and fruity Belgian yeast with hints of banana and slight citrus zest, albeit very faint. Tastes were good - spicy, wheaty, fruity, and yeasty with a slight nuttiness and tartness on the finish. Little carbonation leads to a light-to-medium body, which made it seem somewhat heavy for a wheat ale, although I personally prefer a heavier mouth-feel, so it was ok for me. Overall, I really enjoyed this offering - especially if you ignore the style that it falls into - but as a Witbier it is good, but there some flaws if you compare it to other more traditional ales in its category. I could easily buy a 6 of this and be happy with my purchase.

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a weizen glass. No "bottled on" date or abv is to be found on the label.

Appearance: Nice sized white head shows decent staying power. Bright hazy yellow body.

Smell: Not alot going on in the aroma. Sweet and "wheaty".

Taste: Very refreshing beer for the summer. Hops are in the background, almost undetectable. Has a little bit of an acidic twang to it.

Live Review. Poured from a 12 oz. bottle purchased as a single from Cost Plus World Market in Mentor, Ohio into my Brewery Ommegang Witte glass.

A Minimally cloudy but translucent straw yellow body under a moderate 1 cm fluffy white but short lived head that sticks around for about 30 seconds. Basic look really. 3.0

S Light wheat, nothing remarkable here. 3.0

T A lager-esque grainy barley taste dominates over a background of the wheat taste that I expected. I do not like how this tastes. The lager like barley taste lingers too long as well. 2.0

M Moderate with that tangy lager like taste and not very smooth like I like Witbiers to be. 2.5

D Well not that good since I was really not impressed with the taste. 2.0

Notes: My first New Holland dissappointment from a brewery whose beers I have really liked in the past.

Pours a very light golden with little head and decent carbonation. Smells malty with some sort of hint of citrus. It's got pretty good mouthfeel with a solid flavor. It's wheat characteristics are light wit a nice little lemony aftertaste. A very drinkable brew. I'm not wheat beer fanatic but this seems at least slightly better than the b- average i'm seeing.
