Very clear, dark copper body with a very thick, billowy head; sheets of clinging foam sticks to the glass (4.0). Excellent combination of malt sweetness and piney hop aroma; mild orange and tangerine scents (3.75). Tasty blend of caramel, zesty hop bitterness, and a very subdued hint of alcohol heat; melon-like fruitiness (3.75). Heavy body; smooth feel overall with a bit of raspiness popping into the picture; fairly dry (3.75).

Well blended and balanced powerhouse IPA. Malt sweetness and body mate well with the hop bitterness and aroma, neither component outshining the other. Both grains and hops do an excellent job of keeping the alcohol taste in check. Big and delicious...

22oz bottle purchased for $5. Unfortunately it was bottled in May, not sure why they sent three month old beer for their first foray into Colorado nor shy I bought it. Dark orange, almost amber. Smells like dead hops, stale. Tastes like alcohol, malt and stale hops. Pretty disappointing.
