Now Quaffing: New Holland Mad Hatter IPA
I love their slogan--"Art in fermented form" How true this is with the Mad Hatter IPA. IPAs can have all kinds of appearances. This is one of those that pours a clear golden with a slight orange tint. Being clear it looks so innocent, but I am the wiser here. The head is white and full and recedes slowly with good lacing. The aroma is full of citrusy hops. The taste, also is dominated by citrusy hops with a bitterness that lingers without being too oily. There is a good amount of carbonation in this brew which adds to the "bite" and makes for a good overall drinking experience. There are more complex and certainly more balanced IPAs out there, but this is more than satisfactory when it comes to feeding a hop craving.
