Poured from tap into a clean, clear pint glass during my visit to the brewery within the past week.

A Dark Brown translucent body under a creamy head that lingered for a few minutes. Nice lacing as well. 4.0

S Malt, barley and nice "autumn" spices. The smell suggests a nice depth to the beer that is pleasing. 4.0

T The minimally sweet malt, grainy barley and "autumn" spices came through right into the taste into this nice, reasonably big "Autmnfest" ale. 4.0

M Nice and thick, syrupy good. 4.0

D Good drinkability with a "Autumn" fest beer that is finally big enough. Dark Horse, in my opinion, has a better "Autumnfest" beer but this is very solid indeed. 4.0

Notes: Glad that I found this on tap at the brewery. A real straight up 4.0 beer!

On tap at the brew pub in Holland. I am assuming this will be a fall seasonal. Listed on the "specialties" board.

Deep, deep ruddy amber color. A bit light as far as a dunkel goes, still very good looking with a small off white head. Low aroma-somewhat malty. Soft and rounded malt flavor dominates. Slight trace of a caramel sweetness that might not be true for the style but still enjoyable. Little trace of hops-this is all about the malt. Very solid body. Nice, nice beer. A shade or 2 off of being a dunkel but very enjoyable and almost dangerously drinkable.
