12 oz bottle (2012 vintage) into snifter glass
A: deep brown, almost black. Almost no head.
S: floral and woody- very fresh, with a hint of fruit
T: Fruity and complex- sweet, malty, slightly smoky, slight hops presence. All the flavors blend well; I also taste hints of chocolate, and both sweet and sour fruit, and slight alcohol bite too. Aftertaste is surprisingly neutral, emerging from the interesting palette of flavors
M: medium-thick, fairly low carbonation
O: wow, a very interesting beer! the dark hue misleads one from the fruity/floral nose and taste. The myriad flavors balance each other very well for an intriguing combination- definitely worth a try, a very tasty, drinkable brew.
